1. Open the AI software, create a new canvas, select the brush tool, draw a straight line on the canvas, click the view option in the menu bar, and select the grid and reference line.

2. In the pop-up dialog box, select the option of "Show Guides". Click the "Window" option in the menu bar and select "Path Finder". In the pop-up dialog box, select the Shape Mode tab.

3. In the Shape Mode tab, select Path Finder. In the Path Finder, select the Show Guides option.
