Xixia (1038- 1227) was a feudal dynasty established by the Tangut in the northwest of China in the history of China. In A.D. 1038, Li Yuanhao was established in Hexi Corridor and its northern area, with the title of "Daxia" and its capital of Xingqing (now Yinchuan, Ningxia). Because of its geographical location in the west of the Central Plains, it was called "Xixia" in history.
