Fuding white tea is white tea produced in fuding city. There are several large producing areas, namely Taimushan Town, Panxi Town, Guanyang Town, Diantou Town and Berlin Town. The teas produced in several producing areas have their own merits, but they are all high-quality white teas. The main varieties are: Baihao Yinzhen, Bai Mudan, Gongmei and Shoumei.
Fuding city is located in the northeast of Fujian Province, bordering the East China Sea in the southeast, Cangnan County in Zhejiang Province in the northeast, Taishun County in Zhejiang Province in the northwest, Zherong County in the west, Xiapu County in the south, and located at 26 52' ~ 27 26' north latitude and119 55' ~120 east longitude. North to the old city wall of fenshuiguan, northwest to the bottom of Xitoujian Ridge, southwest to Xianpu Muhaijian, south to the East China Sea, southeast to Xingzai Island and surrounding waters, and east to Hua Shuang Nanshanjian.
Growth condition
The growing environment of Fuding white tea is divided into temperature, soil, light and rainfall. The influence of sunshine on tea trees is mainly the intensity and properties of light. Tea tree has the characteristics of shade tolerance, and likes weak light irradiation and diffuse light. From the absorption spectrum analysis of chlorophyll, the blue-violet light with shorter wavelength is the most, while the diffuse light is mainly blue-violet light with shorter wavelength. Therefore, there is a foundation for tea trees to grow well under diffuse light conditions.
When the average temperature of day and night is stable above 10 degrees, tea buds begin to sprout and gradually elongate. In the growing season, the monthly average temperature should be above 18 degrees, and the optimum temperature is 20-27 degrees. The suitable rainfall for tea trees is 1000-2000 mm per year, and the monthly rainfall in the growing season is above 100mm, and the relative humidity is generally 80-90%. The relative water content of soil should be 70-80%. Such rainfall and humidity are most suitable for the growth of tea trees.
