Taiyuan Meat Processing Factory is the largest large-scale meat processing enterprise in Shanxi Province. Located in Xutan, Taiyuan City. It covers an area of 390,000 square meters (650 mu) with a building area of 6,543,8+0,750 square meters. The processing plant has three cold storages with a total storage capacity of 20,000 tons. A production line for slaughtering and processing 450,000-500,000 pigs a year; There are complete sets of equipment such as cooked meat processing plant, low-temperature oil refining, biochemical pharmacy and canned food production. Taiyuan Meat Joint Factory was originally developed on the basis of private individual slaughterhouses. Before liberation, there was a slaughterhouse in Nanhai Street where some self-employed people slaughtered. 1949 After liberation, Taiyuan Taxation Bureau organized them to become Nanhai Street Slaughterhouse. 1954, this slaughterhouse belongs to Taiyuan Food Company. The company has meat processing plants, farms and halal meat processing plants in Yangjiabao, an old military camp in the southern suburbs. Nanhai Street Slaughterhouse moved to a new site, when the factory occupied 85 mu. 1956 after the socialist transformation was completed, the Taiyuan municipal government built a modern meat processing factory in Xutan, which was completed and put into operation on 1958. Yangjiabao, the meat joint processing factory, farm and Muslim meat processing factory in the old military camp moved in together to form the "Taiyuan State-owned Meat Joint Processing Factory". The number of employees reached 9 12. In addition to processing and producing pigs, cattle and mutton, it also produces biochemical drugs, canned food and cooked meat. 1984 Taiyuan Food Group Co., Ltd. was established on the basis of Taiyuan Meat Complex and Taiyuan Food Company, and is a large state-owned commercial enterprise. Later, it was changed to Taiyuan Tianhe Food Group Company.
