Conversion is to convert to the three treasures of Buddhism, not to convert to any Sect repeatedly. There are five cases and seven schools of Zen, each with its own origin. Even sects, laymen are not divided into generations. If they don't rank according to this, their seniority ranking is meaningless. According to the order of giving precepts, the layman comes first, then the preceptor comes last, the Bodhisattva gives precepts first and the five precepts last.
