Most of China's modern reform thoughts were introduced through western aggression (economy, politics, military, etc.). The Westernization Movement led by Li Hongzhang, the minister of Qing Dynasty, can be said to have opened the road for China to become a rich country in modern times, but it was obviously feudal. Later, the Reform Movement of 1898 in Kangliang, the Revolution of 1911 in Sun Yat-sen and the May 4th New Culture Movement all promoted the reform thought. At that time, the task of China's democratic revolution was always defined as "anti-imperialism and anti-feudalism", with a strong sense of patriotism, which could be said to be related to their interests, but it was not as obvious as the western bourgeois revolution.
