Bahe River, located in Huanggang City, Hubei Province, was called Bashui in ancient times and is one of the five rivers in Xiyang. Bashui River system originates from Xifeng tip at the junction of Hubei and Anhui, and flows through Macheng City, Luotian County, Tuanfeng County, Xishui County and Huangzhou District. It collects water 100 km along the way and flows into the Yangtze River through Bahe Town, with a total length of 1, 5 1 km and a drainage area of 579.93 square kilometers. Its clean water has been nourishing hundreds of thousands of people in Luotian, Tuanfeng, Xishui, Huangzhou and other counties. Bahe River is the boundary river between Xishui and Luotian, Tuanfeng and Huangzhou District. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the Ba people in the west of Chu rioted many times, and Chu sent troops to suppress them. They moved to the capital of Ba people many times and were exiled to Jiangxia. They went up the Five Rivers in eastern Hubei and settled here, forming the famous Five Rivers people in history. Bahe Valley is its activity center, and Bahe Town, where Bahe River enters the river, was once called Uman City. To commemorate the homeland, the river was renamed Bahe.
