Yantai-Haiyang Expressway adopts the standard construction of two-way four-lane expressway, with a design speed of 100 km/h, a subgrade width of 26.0 meters, and a vehicle load level of highway-I. The design flood frequency of bridges is 1-/300, and that of other bridges, culverts and subgrade is1/00. Other technical indicators meet the Technical Standard for Highway Engineering (JGT B0 1-2003) issued by the Ministry of Communications.

Asphalt concrete pavement structure and its combination design of Yanhai Expressway. The surface layer thickness is 15cm, that is, 4cm SMA- 13 modified asphalt concrete upper layer, 5cm AC- 16 asphalt concrete middle layer and 6cm AC-20 asphalt concrete lower layer. The carriageway base adopts 18+ 18cm cement stabilized macadam, and the subbase adopts 20cm cement stabilized weathered sand; Hard shoulder base adopts 18+ 18 cm cement stabilized macadam; There are tunnels 1 seat, with a length of 835 meters. Bugezhuang Interchange adopts mixed+single horn combination scheme, Zhuang Interchange adopts Y-shaped scheme, Liugezhuang West Interchange adopts deformed overpass scheme, Yuli Interchange adopts double horn scheme, and Xucun, Zhuxiang and Panshidian Interchange adopts single horn scheme. The starting point of the route (-K0+ 100) is located in Bugezhuang, Laishan, Yantai, which takes over Hai Road in the north and connects with Wurong Expressway (Yantai Ring Road and Wei Yan Road) through the hub interchange. The terminal (K80+500) is located in Liugezhuang, Haiyang City, Yantai. After receiving the Wei Qing Expressway, it passes through the main toll station and connects with local roads. The total length of the route is 80.6 13km.
