The biggest capital of starting a business is oneself.
Text/breeze is not old

Recently, I have been paying attention to the problem of starting a business, and I have discussed different models with people in different fields.

Many people also ask, what does entrepreneurship need? Or, how to start a business?

I remember a documentary I wrote before, telling the story of three overseas Chinese entrepreneurs.

The background is that decades ago, I was in a foreign country, with no original capital, no contacts and even no entrepreneurial atmosphere. It can be said that it is a real self-made.

But in the end, they succeeded. With what?

Speaking of the name Wu, many people may not know it, but when it comes to the name of Malaysia's "jewelry king", it must be much more famous.

Born in Malacca, Malaysia from 65438 to 0937, Wu belongs to the second generation of Hakkas who emigrated overseas. At the age of 4, my father died unfortunately.

In such an era of "breaking into the world with bare hands, a pair of trousers goes down to the South Sea", most China people who have left their homes for the first time have a miserable life overseas. The fall of the pillars at home is undoubtedly worse. From an early age, Wu helped his mother make a living, raising pigs and sheep, growing and selling vegetables, and doing everything, which was miserable.

At that time, he dreamed of getting rid of suffering. But what can I do with nothing at present?

Hakkas have a tradition of "respecting religion". Even though life was difficult, Wu didn't give up studying. It is also the road to study in suffering that cultivated his self-reliant personality.

After graduating from college, Wu mistakenly entered the gold industry. But as a layman, he doesn't know professional knowledge and skills, so he can only help Third Brother.

Four years later, he decided to start his own business. Together with three friends, he set up a small gold decoration factory with RM 5,000 to engage in low-cost gold contracting business. In the most difficult time, I often build a simple canvas bed in the factory, sleep for a few hours when I am tired, and then wake up to continue my work.

With that determination of self-reliance, I walked step by step, endured a lot of hardships and suffered a lot of fatigue, and finally established a gold jewelry kingdom that operated through a train from refining gold, producing gold jewelry, processing with supplied materials, designing gold jewelry and wholesale and retail, and became the "Datuk" of Malaysia.

Looking back on his own road to entrepreneurship, Wu said with emotion that if a person does not stand on his own feet, he is like drifting without roots and can do nothing.

Lin Maofa, 1942, from Xingning, Meizhou. /kloc-When he was 0/5 years old, he followed his father to "cross Pan" and set out from Shantou for eight days and seven nights, which made him realize the impermanence of life.

After arriving in Malaysia, I was a stranger and had to work hard to survive. In fact, before passing Pan, Lin Maofa was the "high flyers" of a key middle school, but he worked as a "dishwasher" in Malaysia for four years, earning a meager salary every month.

After four years of hard work, Lin Maofa, who was unwilling to be mediocre, had the idea of going out to travel by himself, so he started to work and opened a small noodle stall. Moreover, he set himself a small goal. If he earns 30,000 yuan in the first year, it shows that he has a mind to do business, then he will change careers and challenge other industries.

God has lived up to his efforts. A year later, he earned tens of thousands of dollars, immediately closed the stall and opened a grocery store, and earned tens of thousands of dollars a year later. At this time, he had confidence in himself and had a bold idea.

At that time, planting and producing palm oil in Malaysia was still a new industry, but Lin Maofa smelled the business opportunities and invested all the capital he had earned with his extraordinary vision and courage.

Lin Maofa entered the palm oil industry and started from trade. At that time, there was not enough money, so he went to the bank to borrow 500 thousand, which was an amazing amount at that time. He said that he had no way out, and that he was confident of success.

Because he seized the opportunity and made several times more efforts than ordinary people, Lin Maofa's palm oil trade grew bigger and bigger, and finally extended to Germany, India, Pakistan and other places. Now he has the largest palm industrial park in Malaysia.

From a small noodle stall a few decades ago to today's transnational trade, it can be said that the times have created heroes, and it can also be said that it has caught the throat of fate. If you are not confident enough, how can a boy 15 years old who is displaced on a boat change his fate?

In recent years, the "Heliyuan" group is like a dark horse, which has sprung up in the Malaysian real estate industry. And its founder, Zhang Runan, is also an entrepreneurial model of overseas Chinese.

As the second generation of Hakkas who emigrated overseas, Zhang Runan has seven brothers and sisters, ranking sixth. In order to support this big family, my father works as a driver and runs a drugstore, while my mother sews clothes to support her family.

But the burden is too heavy, the elder sister and the third sister sacrificed themselves and gave the opportunity to study to their younger brothers and sisters. In addition to running errands for his parents, Zhang Runan has been buying and selling used books at school since the first and second grades of primary school.

After graduating from high school, Zhang Runan, who wanted to study in Britain, even went to a construction site to earn money. At that time, he was still a teenager and was often called to do heavy work on the construction site. At that time, he secretly vowed to reverse the economic situation, and he would never be overwhelmed by money again in his life, but he would overwhelm money himself.

By working on the construction site and selling books on the street, Zhang Runan raised tuition fees three months later and went to London University to study civil engineering. After graduating from college, Zhang Runan returned to Malaysia to become a construction engineer. After working for four years, he chose to start a business in the sea.

But how easy is it for a person who doesn't have much capital accumulation to start a business? What should I do?

At that time, the Malay government was vigorously promoting land privatization. Zhang Runan, who is good at financial management, saw business opportunities, so he wrote ten suggestions and applied to the government. Finally, he got two plots of land, completed the initial capital accumulation with the profits he earned, and then set up a construction company with his friends to contract various projects.

Seeing that the company has made a lot of money, shareholders have suggested closing down as soon as possible and cashing in. However, Zhang Runan was not satisfied with the status quo, so he operated independently and began to enter the real estate field. Buy a golf course that has been losing money for years at RM 200 million, leaving half as a leisure club and the other half as a high-grade residential and commercial development area, with a total output value of more than RM 6 billion. In just a few years, he became a well-known real estate developer in Malaysia.

Many people envy the brilliance of others after their success, but they have never seen what efforts they have made to succeed. Like Zhang Runan, he is not satisfied with the status quo. When he decided to start a business, he gave his wife a sum of money, saying that he might not have the money to pay his family for a while and asked her to give him three years to work hard.

In the final analysis, this is a kind of courage to cross the rubicon, and it is also a kind of perseverance to strive for self-improvement. If you didn't strive for self-improvement, how could you be successful today?

In today's era of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation", everyone wants to start a business, but not everyone can succeed.

Many people are entangled in various factors such as funds, resources, contacts and relationships, and dare not take the first step. But in fact, the biggest cost of starting a business is still yourself.

First of all, we must find our own entrepreneurial direction, then we must have a kind of perseverance that is particularly unrepentant after a narrow escape, and we must also have a broad vision of the pattern. To put it bluntly, those three overseas Chinese entrepreneurs taught us: self-reliance, self-confidence and self-improvement.

In short, entrepreneurship is doomed to be an uneven road. You should have the determination to resist the wind and rain, the courage to face difficulties, and accept the possible failure frankly, so that you can go further.
