The World Universiade is sponsored by the International University Sports Federation, including the Summer Games and the Winter Games. Held once every two years, only for college students and people who have graduated less than two years (age 17-28). All the specified events of the Universiade are Olympic events, and the competition management is implemented by international individual sports organizations in accordance with Olympic standards. The main emblem is based on the English initials "U" corresponding to the World Universiade, combined with Sunbird, one of the symbolic elements of Tianfu culture, and consists of four gradient blocks of red, bright yellow, emerald green and lake blue, which echoes the hosting concept of "green, intelligent, energetic and enjoyable" for the Chengdu Universiade. The mascot of Chengdu Universiade is a giant panda named Rongbao, with a running posture, a Universiade torch with the words "3 1" written on its hands, ears, eyes and tail in the form of flames, and its facial conception is based on the face of Sichuan Opera, a traditional artistic treasure. The main vision of Chengdu Universiade is based on the Universiade emblem, which symbolizes the fiery and fashionable Chengdu with rich colors. At the same time, it is integrated into the silhouette of Chengdu landmark, which perfectly integrates Chengdu's urban sports culture with the indomitable fighting spirit and pursuit of young people who take dreams as horses.

According to the principle of "green, thrifty and necessary", Chengdu Universiade has set up 49 competition and training venues, which are distributed in Chengdu 15 districts (cities), including Dongan Lake Sports Park and Phoenix Mountain Sports Park 13 new venues, and 36 renovated and expanded venues such as Sichuan Provincial Gymnasium and Sichuan University West China Campus Gymnasium. 202 1 Complete all venues by the end of April.
