And obey the orders of superiors.

I promise to study military affairs seriously,

Fully protect military and civilian assets,

Swear allegiance to the Soviet motherland, people and government.

As a soldier in the Soviet armed forces,

I am always ready to defend my country-

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

I will defend our motherland bravely, tactfully, loyally and gloriously.

Defend its honor and destroy the enemy at all costs.

If you violate the above solemn oath,

I am willing to be severely punished by Soviet law,

Hate and spit with the working people.
