Hunnan District belongs to Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Founded in 1964, it was named Dongling District, and changed its name on August 20 14. Named after being located on the south bank of Hunhe River, the mother river of Shenyang, it is the youngest administrative region in Shenyang 13 districts and counties. With a total area of 803 square kilometers, it has the largest airports in Northeast China, Shenyang Taoxian International Airport and Shenyang South Railway Station.
