According to legend, the phrase "one mountain, one water and one sage" comes from Yue Zhennan, who has a gift since he was a child. It is said that Yue Zhennan has a gift for reading and reciting. When he was young, he read a lot of books and was good at articles. There have been hundreds of works, such as Zuoyi Poetry (eight-part essay in imperial examination) and parallel prose, which are popular all over the world and gradually lost. According to legend, the "one mountain, one water and one saint" (Mount Tai, the Yellow River and Confucius) praised by Shandong people today was first blurted out by Yue Zhennan when he was in charge of studying politics in Hunan, and when joking with his colleagues who were born in the south of the Yangtze River, he said, "A mountain of thousands of miles of talents." After his death, Yue Zhennan, together with Zhang Quan, Li Zuoxian and Zhao Changling, was enshrined in the Immortal Temple in Lijin Township. Later, they were called "four rural sages in Lijin".
