Tongguling is known as "the first peak in Qiongdong" and "Tonggu Shao Ming" is one of the eight old scenic spots in Wenchang. According to legend, General Ma led troops to camp here in the Eastern Han Dynasty. When the squad returned to the DPRK, they left bronze drums, which were dug up by later generations, hence the name Tongguling, which has a history of more than 2,000 years. 1June, 983, Wenchang County (now Wenchang City) was approved as a county-level nature reserve. 1988 After Hainan established the provincial special zone, the people's government of Hainan Province listed Tongguling Nature Reserve as a provincial key nature reserve. On June 23rd, 2003, the State Council General Office approved it as a national nature reserve.
