The background of Yin Fujing's writing
The legend of Yin Fu Jing was written by Xuanyuan Huangdi, but it is not in essence. Some people say that it was in the pre-Qin period, and Li Zhi first wrote a note about it, saying that it was spread by Kou and hidden in a famous mountain. These are legends, which modern scholars believe were written by people in the Northern Dynasties, and had nothing to do with Taoism at first.
In fact, in the Tang Dynasty, Yin Fu Jing did not get the attention of mainstream Taoism. Although after Li Zhi, Zhang Guo also made a note that Liu Gongquan had a calligraphy work of Yin Fu Jing, it was not officially absorbed by Taoism until Du Guangting made a note of Yin Fu Jing in the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, because it was not written by people in Taoism, so it took a process to be accepted by Taoism. However, the later Inner alchemy and Neo-Confucianism paid more attention to this classic, and even thought that this classic could be compared with Laozi, so the status of Yin Fu Classic was higher later.
