Extended data:
In 2009, the first China Mathematics Competition (CMC) was held. As a national high-level discipline competition for undergraduates, CMC provides a stage for young students to display their basic mathematical skills and mathematical thinking, and accumulates research materials for discovering and selecting outstanding mathematical talents and further promoting the reform and development of mathematics curriculum construction in colleges and universities.
Sponsored by the Chinese Mathematical Society, it is also a good relay of the national high school mathematics competition in colleges and universities.
Development history: 1985 was initiated by Peking University, Nankai University, Fudan University and China University of Science and Technology. The Chinese Mathematical Society decided to hold the national middle school students' mathematics winter camp every year 1 month from 1986 (the 29th session of each year to 65438+February), and later renamed as China Mathematical Olympics (CMO).
Competition form: The winter camp invites the winners of senior high school mathematics leagues in all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government and teams from Hong Kong, Macao, Russia and Singapore to participate, with about 200 people (now it has been expanded to about 300 people). The distribution principle is at least three people in each province and city, and then set the score line to select the best candidates.
