Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Metropolitan Area has planned six multi-level rail transit lines, namely:
Line S 1: Ningxiang West-Changqing, which is expected to start at the end of the year;
S2 line: Huanghua Airport-Liuyang, which is expected to start at the end of the year;
S3 line: the west ring line of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity rail, which is expected to open to traffic in 2023;
S4 line: Luositang-Zhuzhou West, under planning;
S5 line: Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity railway, which has been completed and opened to traffic;
S9 line: Muyundong-Zhuzhou Yunlong, under planning;
S 1 Changning express line
The line starts from Ningxiang High-speed Railway West Station, and is mainly laid along Huaming Road-Dengyun Road-Jinqiao Avenue-Jinzhou District Avenue-LAM Raymond Road Store, and ends at Changqing Station at the intersection of Dongfanghong Road and LAM Raymond West Road (connected to Changsha Metro Line 6).
The total length of the line is kilometers (kilometers of overhead lines and kilometers of underground lines), with 0/3 stations (7 overhead stations and 6 underground stations), and construction is expected to start at the end of the year.
Changning Express Line can be easily interchanged with Line 2 and Line 6, and the interconnection conditions with S2 (West Railway Station-Liuyang Express Line) are reserved in the planning, and it can directly connect Ningxiang-Changsha-Liuyang in the future. S2 Changliu Express Line
Changliu Express Line starts from Terminal T3 of Huanghua Airport and ends at Liuyang Customs Station. It is mainly laid along Jincheng Avenue, Liu Yong Highway, Fireworks Avenue and Liuyang Avenue.
It is reported that the project is planned once, implemented by stages, and the first opening section (T3 station-Jiaoxi station) is ahead of schedule: the line is kilometers long, with 7 stations (including 1 reserved station) and Jiaoxi parking lot. It is expected to start at the end of the year.
The line connects Huanghua Airport, Jinyang New City, Liuyang City and Liuyang high-speed railway station in series. The whole line is mainly laid overhead, and Liuyang city is mainly laid underground. You can transfer with Changsha Metro Line 6, 10 Line, Changsha South Station and Liuyang Station of Changsha-Jiangxi High-speed Railway.
S3 West Ring Road of Changzhutan Intercity Railway
Recently, the thermal sliding test of the first phase of the west ring line of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity rail transit was successfully completed, marking the completion of the first phase of the west ring line.
Up to now, the whole line of the first phase of the West Ring Road Project has successively realized "tunnel connection", "rail connection", "electricity connection" and "train connection". The main structures of eight stations along the line have all been completed, and the key system equipment has been installed. It is expected to open to traffic in 2023, running through Changsha Metro Line 3, and will be split in the long run.
In the planning, S3 line is divided into four sections, namely: Changsha West-Shi Xue Road, Shi Xue Road-Xiangtan North, Xiangtan North-Yisu River, Yisu River (Fenghuang Middle School)-Zhuzhou West.
Among them, the western section of the Yisu River-Zhuzhou is a suburban line under study, and it is expected that it will not be built for the time being in the near future, which means that the inter-city rail transit of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan has not formed a loop.
S4 Line Luositang-Zhuzhou West
S4 line is the east ring of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity rail transit, connecting Luositang Station of Changsha Metro Line 3 in the north and Zhuzhou West Station in the south, and it is planned to be laid underground.
S4 line, along Huangxing Avenue in the east of Changsha, runs through the main urban area of Zhuzhou to the south.
This railway connects Xingsha District and Huangxing District of Changsha City, and Yunlong District, Hedong District and Wu Guang District of Zhuzhou City.
Transfer to Changsha Metro Line 6 at Renmin Road in Changsha, connect Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Metro at Dafeng Station, connect Beijing-Guangzhou-Shanghai-Kunming Railway at Zhuzhou Station, and connect Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and Heng Chang Intercity at Zhuzhou West Station (under planning).
Muyundong-Zhuzhou Yunlong on S9 Line
In the Implementation Plan of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Metropolitan Area Development Plan, S9 Line is called Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Green Center Park Line.
The line starts from Muyun Cave in the west and ends at Yunlong Fangte in Zhuzhou from west to east, running through the core area of Lv Xin Central Park in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan.
This line will be connected with Changsha Metro Line 9 in the future, which can be regarded as an extension of Metro Line 9. This line has strengthened the connection between Zhuzhou and the main city of Changsha, especially with Changsha Olympic Sports New City.
Among the subway lines under construction in Changsha recently, there are the latest news about the subway 1 north extension line and the east extension line of Metro Line 7.
Metro Line 65438 +0 North Extension Line
The first phase of the north extension of subway 1 Line starts from Jinpenqiu Station and ends at Kaifu District Government Station, and is mainly laid along Furong North Road. The total length of the line is about kilometers, with 5 stations, including 2 elevated stations and 3 underground stations.
At present, the main station building of the first phase of the North Extension Project of 1 Line has been completely capped, and the auxiliary construction of each station and the shield tunneling in the underground shield section are in full swing. About 43% of the upper bridge construction has been completed, the Egxiu underground excavation section has been completed, and the elevated section has been fully constructed. The main structure of the single building in the front area of Shahe parking lot has been completed about 78%, and the pile foundation and structure construction of the station and warehouse has been fully launched. After the completion, it is of great significance in strengthening the connection between Jinxia group and the main city, guiding the city to expand northward, and alleviating the traffic pressure on Furong Road.
Metro Line 7
According to Changsha Rail Transit Group's reply to Proposal No.428 of the first meeting of the 16th People's Congress of Changsha, the first phase of Metro Line 7 (Wulipai Station-East Bus Station) was included in the third phase of construction planning adjustment, and the planning stage of the network extended eastward.
In the revised draft approved in 2020, after passing through the East Bus Station, Metro Line 7 is still laid along Yuanda Road, passing through Furong Middle School (formerly Furong Experimental Middle School in Changjun County), Dongya Middle School, Hunan Biomechanics Vocational and Technical College (Mapoling Campus) and other places to serve the residents of Mapoling Street.
However, the east extension of Metro Line 7 is still in the network planning stage, and there is no clear construction schedule and stable line and station scheme at present. In the design and construction stage of the line, further research will be carried out in combination with the suggestions put forward by the representatives.
