The welfare home adheres to the working goal of "laying a foundation for children's life and doing filial piety for the well-being of the elderly", providing timely treatment and good parenting services for abandoned babies and disabled children admitted to the hospital, ensuring that the treatment rate, rehabilitation rate and education rate of abandoned babies and disabled children admitted to the hospital reach 100%, and successfully treating and rehabilitating more than 3,000 abandoned babies and disabled children. We have cooperated with UNICEF, International Caring for China Charity Association, American Family Reorganization, Irish Orphans Foundation, amity foundation and other charities to introduce advanced concepts of rehabilitation, education and protection for orphans and disabled children. Changsha Geriatric Rehabilitation Hospital was established in 1987, which not only provides medical and health care services for orphans, the disabled, the old and the young, but also opens to the whole city's communities. The annual outpatient visits are about 10000, and the inpatient visits are about 1200. In order to meet the needs of the rapid development of the aged care service market, Changsha Shouxing Apartment (including Changsha Geriatric Rehabilitation Hospital) was built in this hospital in 2005, and officially put into use in 2009 1 month, with a total investment of about 6,543.8 billion yuan, a total construction area of 37,337 square meters, 900 beds for the aged and medical care, and now more than 600 people have been accommodated.
