According to statistics, there are more than 85 million disabled people in China. The reporter found out that since the "14th Five-Year Plan", the relevant departments have made plans from the overall situation, made efforts from key and difficult points, and intensively issued six important documents to promote the employment of disabled people to a new level. Among them, the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" for the Protection and Development of Disabled Persons specifically makes it clear that the average annual growth of the per capita income of disabled families is basically synchronized with the growth of GDP, and for the first time, the employment of disabled people is arranged and planned in a separate chapter with five sections and two columns.
Xie Hongde said that the China Disabled Persons' Federation will further protect the employment rights and interests of the disabled in accordance with the law and strengthen employment services for the disabled. In promoting institutions, institutions and state-owned enterprises to take the lead in arranging employment for the disabled, we will ensure that institutions with more than 50 people and institutions with more than 67 people (excluding primary and secondary schools and kindergartens) in provinces and cities will arrange employment for at least 1 disabled person during the 14 th Five-Year Plan period.

The reporter learned from the Disabled Persons' Federation in many places that Shanghai, Jiangsu, Beijing and other provinces and cities pay attention to cultivating more highly skilled disabled talents, and actively carry out vocational skills competitions for elite disabled persons, vocational guidance competitions for staff of employment service agencies for the disabled, and provincial vocational skills competitions for the disabled, so as to strengthen the role of competition in promoting training and improve the quality of vocational skills training for the disabled.
