A few days ago, Fortune magazine published the list of the world's top 500 enterprises in 20021year. There are 143 enterprises in China, among which there are 126 enterprises in the mainland. Judging from the number of local top 500 enterprises, China ranks first in the world with 1.
First of all, from the macro environment, 1 1 was added to the list of China's top 500 enterprises, while only 1 was added to the list of the United States. It can be seen that the vitality and resilience of China's economic development far exceed those of other economies in the world.
Judging from the distribution of headquarters of local Fortune 500 companies in China, first-tier cities and coastal cities are the gathering places of Fortune 500 companies.
Generally speaking, this list is not much different from previous years. Beijing leads several times, and Hangzhou undoubtedly leads second-tier cities again, even surpassing first-tier city Guangzhou. There are one or two other cities scattered.
How many Fortune 500 enterprises a city can cultivate is a key index to judge the economic quality of a city. The headquarters of Fortune 500 companies have been rooted in the resource-rich head cities. Through the distribution of the headquarters of the local Fortune 500 companies, we can also better observe the "real strength" of a city.
Beijing once again topped the list with "60 headquarters of the world's top 500". The reason why Beijing can dominate the list is also general. As the heart of China, a large number of headquarters of central enterprises have taken root in Beijing, such as State Grid and PetroChina. Under the influence of the capital business card, high-quality enterprises all over the country are also willing to set their headquarters in Beijing in order to obtain greater development support.
However, this situation will be rewritten in the future. At present, Beijing is making every effort to ease the core functions of non-capital, among which central enterprises are the top priority.
A few days ago, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Development Group revealed that starting this year, the headquarters of central enterprises will be moved to Xiong 'an in batches. In the future, Xiong 'an is likely to become a gathering place for the headquarters of local Fortune 500 companies, second only to Beijing, and even more than Beijing.
This year, Shanghai continued last year, ranking second in the country with nine local Fortune 500 headquarters. Shenzhen also continues to rank third in the country. Last year, eight local Fortune 500 companies settled here. It is noteworthy that, as the forefront of reform and opening up, Shenzhen's Fortune 500 enterprises are very private, and local private enterprises such as Tencent, Huawei and Kevin·Z are all gathered in Shenzhen.
Hangzhou is also the hometown of private economy. Seven Fortune 500 companies have taken root in Hangzhou, more than the first-tier city of Guangzhou 1 home. In attracting capital, the strength of Hangzhou is slightly better than that of Guangzhou. According to fund statistics, the total market value of listed companies in Hangzhou will reach 8189.6 billion yuan in 2020, ranking fourth in the country.
Xiamen and Suzhou also have three Fortune 500 headquarters, one is the special zone, and the other is the most powerful prefecture-level city. Both cities have extraordinary strength. Xi 'an, Foshan, Shijiazhuang, Fuzhou, Urumqi and Jinan each have two cities, and 22 cities represented by Wuhan and Nanjing each have one.
It is noteworthy that Yunnan Yuntou Group entered the world's top 500 for the first time this year, and both Yunnan and Kunming achieved a breakthrough of "from 0 to 1", while Longyan and Weifang achieved a breakthrough of "from 0 to 1".
Judging from the distribution of the top 500 local enterprises in the world, first-tier cities are still the first choice for large enterprises, which can connect with the world and capital more quickly.
However, the Chengdu-Chongqing area, which has developed brilliantly in recent years, has not yet achieved a breakthrough from zero to one. How many local Fortune 500 enterprises can be gathered in a city is a key indicator to judge a city's economic quality and also a key embodiment of its competitiveness. Chengdu and Chongqing have ranked fifth and seventh in GDP, but their hard power is still lacking.
The New Hope Group, which started in Chengdu this year, entered the Fortune 500 for the first time, but unfortunately, the headquarters of New Hope is located in Beijing, so Chengdu still failed to achieve the "breakthrough from zero to one" of the headquarters of the local Fortune 500.
Longhu, which started in Chongqing, has also entered the world's top 500 this year, but its headquarters is also in Beijing, so Chongqing has not broken 1.
But strictly speaking, New Hope has always been rooted in Sichuan and Chengdu, and the focus of the group's business has always been in Sichuan, so New Hope is the first local top 500 enterprise in Chengdu. According to relevant information disclosure, New Hope is also preparing to move its headquarters to Tianfu New District, Chengdu (formerly reserved for major functional areas at the provincial level in Sichuan).
By the way, both Sichuan and Chengdu have made great efforts to cultivate the local top 500 in the world. In May this year, Sichuan merchants and railway investment merged to form "Shudao Group". In fact, Shudao Group is one of the top 500 companies in the world. Chengdu's state-owned enterprise "Xingcheng" also shouted the slogan of marching into the world's top 500. With the new hope headquarters moving back to Chengdu, there will be three Fortune 500 companies in Chengdu in the future.
Longhu is widely distributed, but its center of gravity is mainly in Sichuan and Chongqing. Chongqing and Chengdu are both major cities for the development of Longhu. With the rapid development of Chongqing, it is not impossible for Longhu to move its headquarters back to Chongqing in the future.
Generally speaking, the adsorption capacity of high-end resources in Chengdu and Chongqing is obviously insufficient. As an inland city, Chengdu-Chongqing has been in the secondary hub of the national economy for decades since the reform and opening up, and its resource flow is weaker than that of coastal cities. At the same time, the financial strength of Chengdu-Chongqing is not as good as that of coastal cities. Therefore, even if Sichuan and Chongqing can cultivate local top 500 enterprises, it is difficult for enterprises to set their headquarters in Chengdu and Chongqing.
Of course, now is the "internal circulation" era, and Chengdu-Chongqing has sufficient development space and deep potential, especially the definition of the "fourth pole" of the twin-city economic circle in Chengdu-Chongqing area. With the advantages of national strategies such as internal circulation, Chengdu-Chongqing will be handy in incubating local top 500 enterprises in the future, so give Chengdu-Chongqing more time.
