Xiaoxiang Rain is a work of China Yuan Zaju, named Xiaoxiang Night Rain, and its full name in Linjiang Post is Xiaoxiang Autumn Rain, which is a work with the theme of men's infidelity.

Yang Xianzhi, a playwright in Yuan Dynasty. Most people (now Beijing) have an unknown date of birth and death. At the same time, they are close friends of Guan Hanqing and often discuss and scrutinize their works together.
Yang is good at putting forward pertinent opinions on other people's works because he is known as "Yang Patch". Among the zaju writers in the early Yuan Dynasty, he was older and had prestige. Wang Zun, a Sanqu writer, is a teacher's uncle and has close contacts with artists. The famous actor Shixiu Shun called him uncle.
Yang Zaju also plays an important role in Yuan Qu. There are eight kinds of zaju that he knew in his life: Liu Quan entered the melon, Black Whirlwind solved the case, ugly horse shot money, rainy night in Xiaoxiang, Zheng Kongmu Hanting, Buluhu Liu Tubai, Dabaoyuan distinguished the two generations of Liu Tu, and Tongxian jumped into the sky. Unfortunately, there is only one.
These two plays are masterpieces of the Yuan Dynasty, among which Raining at Night in Xiaoxiang is the only one in the Yuan Dynasty with the theme of men's infidelity, and its zaju also has its own artistic characteristics.
