Duties and obligations of militia

Receive necessary military training, maintain social order, ensure the normal use of weapons and equipment, undertake various war services, go out with the army when necessary, enlist in the army, and supplement the standing army. They are both soldiers and civilians, and they are armed personnel combining military and civilian. It is a mass armed organization under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and an integral part of the armed forces of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is the assistant and reserve army of the people's army.

As the name implies, the backbone militia is the backbone of the militia, and the backbone militia has an age requirement, generally no more than 35 years old. The backbone militia mainly undertakes the task of emergency rescue and disaster relief at ordinary times, but also participates in the war. Therefore, the backbone militia has corresponding specialties and conducts professional training and spot checks in their respective formations every year.
