Among them, Chen Mou lied that the police beat people at the scene and incited others to besiege the police and police cars. Zhang Jia climbed onto the roof of the taxi at the scene and shouted slogans, inciting people around him to follow suit and blocking the police car. Zhang Yi called other drivers through WeChat group and took the lead in chasing the police car, inciting others to besiege the people in the police car.
During the trial of the case, the defendants Chen Mou, Zhang Jia and Zhang Yi all admitted their criminal facts, which were supported by evidence such as witness testimony, defendant's confession, live video and transcripts extracted by mobile phone WeChat.
After hearing the case, a district court held that the case occurred on the road where the public was located, causing serious public disorder and undermining social order, involving sensitive issues in the handling of conflicts between the police and the people, involving a large number of people and having a bad influence. The court found that the above-mentioned defendants' actions constituted the crime of provoking trouble.
