The spirit of "three thousand" originally came from Wenzhou, and became famous in Zhejiang township enterprises quickly, and later rose to "Zhejiang spirit". In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Wenzhou, Taizhou, Jinhua, Yiwu, Dongyang and other places in Zhejiang were the earliest land contracting areas in China, and farmers were the first to set up family farms, private workshops, township enterprises, joint-stock companies and specialized markets barefoot.

Those places are poor places with a large population and a small population in Zhejiang, with no resources, scarce energy, inconvenient transportation, large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises and no state investment. However, these places are now the richest places in the country. Relying on the spirit of three thousand, Wenzhou people first shouted "Do everything possible, go through hardships and say a thousand words!" In fact, there is a saying called "Qian Shan is full of water".

At that time, Zhejiang people used this spirit to do business all over the country, and even Tibet had traders who traded cotton for sugar in Yiwu. The spirit of three thousand was called from the countryside to the city in Zhejiang. Later, due to the adjustment of industrial structure, many workers in the city were laid off in large numbers. They also shouted out the spirit of three thousand, and started all over again! Therefore, today, Zhejiang's economy is at the forefront of the country, not falling from the sky.
