Born tells the inside story of the birth of China's first atomic bomb. General Shi Feng, who made great achievements in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, was ordered to go to the northwest desert with troops and researchers together with the returning scientist Lu Guangda, where he completed a task that shocked the world: building an atomic bomb launch base.
With their indomitable spirit, they broke through one difficulty after another and finally built an atomic bomb tower, which shocked the world with a loud noise.
The film Born Out is divided into two clues from the perspective of space:
One is the meritorious general Shi Feng, who was ordered to go to the northwest with his own troops to be responsible for the entire infrastructure work of the atomic bomb project. Another clue is that scientist Lu Guangda returned to the motherland to take charge of the core technology research of the whole atomic bomb project. The two clues take care of each other. On one side is the vast desert, the soldiers are working hard, and on the other side is the quiet capital Beijing, where scientists are calculating nervously.
Compared with Shi Feng, the role of Lu Guangda is fuller, more stereoscopic and more understandable to the present society. He came back from a poor family, and his wife's father is a typical bourgeois. From the beginning, he was told that he could not get the rewards and honors he deserved for completing this task.
