20 1 1 August, 2008 12 to 23, the 26th Summer Universiade was held in Shenzhen. This is the third time that China has hosted this grand event after the 200 1 Beijing Summer Universiade and the 2009 Harbin Winter Universiade. Shenzhen, which has been at the forefront of China's reform and opening up for 20 years, stands out among many cities.
