What does Hong Xiuquan advocate in foreign policy?
In terms of foreign policy, before jintian uprising, Hong Xiuquan advocated friendly coexistence between countries and opposed national oppression. After the capital was Tianjing, envoys from Britain, France and the United States visited Tianjing successively, threatening the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom to recognize the unequal treaties they had concluded with the Qing government. The leaders of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom rejected the blackmail of foreign invaders, warned them not to help the Qing government, and announced to them that the foreign policy of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was "international trade", "doing harm to people is forbidden" (referring to opium), and "businessmen must strictly abide by the laws of heaven". Foreign warships that break into the territory without authorization will be shelled immediately, and merchant ships that smuggle trade will be sanctioned.
