Boiling steel has no large concentrated shrinkage cavity, less deoxidizer and low steel cost. Boiling steel has many impurities in the center, serious segregation, uneven mechanical properties, high gas content in steel, low toughness, cold brittleness, high aging sensitivity and poor weldability, and is not suitable for manufacturing welded structural parts and other important structural parts that bear impact and cutting load and work at low temperature.

2) Pickled steel plate (YB 178-65)
Pickled steel plate is made of low-carbon ordinary steel plate by annealing and pickling. After annealing and pickling, the oxide layer on the surface is removed, which makes the surface bright and white and improves the stamping performance to a certain extent. This kind of steel plate is suitable for manufacturing products that require good surface quality and need stamping but low strength.
Pickled steel plates can be divided into two types according to their surface quality: Ⅰ and Ⅱ. According to its cupping depth, it can be divided into two levels: ordinary (P) and deep drawing (S).
(1) Main uses
Mainly suitable for alarm shell, flashlight shell, instrument shell, lamp holder, automobile brake drum, etc.
(2) Steel plate size
The thickness of the steel plate is 0.25-2mm.
Note: The grade, chemical composition and mechanical properties of the steel plate are equivalent to those in the previous section (hot rolled ordinary thin steel plate).
3) Steel plate for oil drums (GB3276-89)
(1) Main uses
It is specially used for manufacturing the barrel body, lid and bottom of 200-liter oil barrel.
(2) Brand and chemical composition of materials
The material of oil drum sheet steel is 2 # and 3 # killed steel in ordinary carbon structural steel (conforming to GB700) and 08, 10 steel in high-quality carbon structural steel.
