(1) The stems of wheat are erect and clustered, with 6-7 nodes, 60- 100 cm in height and 5-7 mm in diameter. The leaf sheath loosely wraps the stem, and the tongue is membranous, about 65438±0mm long, and the leaves are long and lanceolate.
(2) Barley stems are stout, smooth and hairless, erect, about 50- 100 cm high, with lanceolate auricles on both sides, 9-20 cm long and 7-20 mm wide and flat.
2. Fruit differences
(1) The pericarp of wheat is yellowish brown, oblate or oval. The two ends of the fruit are slightly sharp or blunt, and there are starch grains inside. The powder of the fruit is white, with small yellow-brown peel.
(2) The barley fruit is oval, and the seeds of the fruit are wrapped by barnyard grass.
