In the thirty-fourth year of Guangxu, 101at 3: 00 am on October 22nd, Cixi finished her 74-year life and passed away. At 4: 30 p.m. that day, the eunuch in charge of the ritual department carried Cixi's body out of Yiyuan Hall in Xiyuan with a goose yellow auspicious sedan chair, arrived at the Imperial Palace at 5: 00 15 and put it back on the bed.
At 8: 05 the next morning, under the reverence of Princess Jin, Cixi's body was buried in the coffin. 14, Xuantong Institute, Zigong, Cixi, buried in the underground palace of Dongling, Putuo Valley.
The second time I entered the coffin: 1928 was robbed of the grave and covered with white hair.
Twenty years after the death of Cixi, that is,1July 4, 928 to 10. Sun Dianying, a warlord, stole the Yuling Mausoleum and Cixi Mausoleum of Emperor Qianlong, destroyed coffins and abandoned bodies, and robbed all the buried treasures. Cixi's body was thrown out of the coffin, the pearls in her mouth were picked out, her coat was stripped off, and only a pair of underwear was left in her lower body.
After the theft, Puyi sent Zaize, Senling, Bao and others to Dongling to rebury Cixi's body. Zaize and others got into the underground palace and saw the body of Cixi lying on the coffin cover, with her head facing north, her feet facing south and her left hand on her back. In the underground palace, the body has been exposed for more than 40 days, with many spots and white hair.
The opening time of Cixi's inner coffin was set at1983 65438+the afternoon of February 6, and there were no visitors after work. In order to clean up Cixi's coffin, the Qing Dongling Cultural Relics Protection Center set up a 13 cleaning team headed by its director Ning Yufu.
Cixi's inner coffin is red paint, and the top is folded on all sides, showing a slope shape. The coffin is 225 cm long, 98 cm high on the front, 9 1 cm high on the back, 128.5 cm wide on the front and 123 cm wide on the back. The inner and outer walls are engraved with Tibetan scriptures and painted with gold paint. There are 9 Buddha statues and peony patterns of Phoenix Opera on the coffin cover. The whole inner coffin is basically intact. After opening the coffin lid, I saw a large piece of yellow satin tightly covered in the coffin, covered with a yellow satin robe and a vest on it. Obviously, this is the original appearance of 1928 after Puyi sent people to be reburied!
Entrance to the third coffin: 1984. The Cultural Relics Bureau cleans the inner coffin and removes the body.
Ning Yufu immediately decided not to touch the contents of the coffin, immediately covered the coffin and restored to its original state. Several leaders held a meeting overnight and made two decisions: quickly report to the province and National Cultural Heritage Administration about the opening of Cixi's coffin; Temporarily close the underground palace of Cixi Mausoleum.
On February 8th, 65438, Deputy Director Yu Shanpu went to Beijing with materials and reported to National Cultural Heritage Administration. Xie Jiuzeng, deputy director, went to Shijiazhuang to report to Hebei Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics.
1984 65438+1On October 4th, National Cultural Heritage Administration sent five people to the Qing tombs. After breakfast the next day, the cleaning team and related personnel entered the underground palace of Cixi Mausoleum. Each of us is wearing a white coat, a white mask and white gloves, and all actions are carried out under the camera lens.
After opening the coffin, I saw the scene when I opened the coffin last time. Under the guidance of experts, I carefully took off my blue satin vest and yellow satin robe in turn. Before each takeoff, take a photo and measure it. After uncovering the yellow satin robe, a small yellow satin bag was found on the yellow satin quilt. I hold the bag in my left hand and slowly open it in my right hand. Inside is a lost tooth of Cixi and two nails she cut off. This parcel was given to the minister by Puyi on 1928.
Her head tilted slightly to the left and her eyes sank into the hole. Some gray hair hangs partly on the chest and partly on the right side. The right hand is placed on the abdomen, the left hand naturally hangs on the outside of the left hip, and a ribbon is tied around the waist to expose the chest. Although there are no muscles and many cracks in the body, the whole body is still connected by skin and bone. I measured my body with a steel tape measure, with a total length of 153 cm. It can be inferred that the height of Cixi before her death should not be less than 160cm.
Covered with yellow silk python satin mattress. Under the mattress is a long wooden board-Ruyi Board. It is used to transport the remains. It was with this board that we carried Cixi's body out of the coffin. Experts in National Cultural Heritage Administration sprayed preservatives and disinfectants in the coffin, and then carried Cixi's body back to the coffin. I put the things I moved back back into the coffin as they were and restored them to their original state. After spraying the medicine into the coffin, the coffin was covered. By this time, the carpenter had repaired and covered the broken outer frame. The cleaning work has been going on all day.
