After Qin Xianglian buried her in-laws, she learned that Chen Shimei had become a big official in Beijing, and her hometown could not live any longer, so she had to come to Beijing with a pair of children.
Unexpectedly, Chen Shimei not only denied his wife and children, but also sent warrior Han Qi to kill Xiang Lian, Dong Ge and Chun Mei in an attempt to kill them. Han Qi finally released Qin Xianglian and his mother, and he stabbed himself to death. Xiang Lian was full of grief and indignation, gnashing her teeth and hating Chen Shimei's evil deeds. She picked up a steel knife and rushed to Kaifeng to complain. Chen Shimei was finally beheaded by Lord Bao.
From then on, Chen Shimei was a real love rat, who abandoned his wife and children, liked the new and hated the old, was heartless and deserved to die. Chen Shimei has become synonymous with heartbreakers.
This is why modern people call Chen Shimei "love rat".
