Hongze Lake Prison, formerly known as Newcomer Farm, was established in Binhai County 1952, under the Ministry of Public Security of East China Military and Political Commission. It belongs to the level of public institutions.

Hongze Lake Prison is located in Sihong County, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province. The prison is located in the southeast of Sihong County, on the northwest bank of Hongze Lake. Xu Hong is in the east, Hongze Lake in the south, He Sui in the west and surrounded by water on three sides, showing a northwest-southeast trend.
