It is reported that Beijing Procuratorial Science and Technology Information Research Base integrates superior talents such as judicial appraisers of procuratorial organs in the city, concentrates professional technical equipment, and sets up full coverage of professional categories. Relying on the business line of procuratorial science and technology and the judicial expertise center of Beijing People's Procuratorate, it is an institution that performs the function of scientific and technological strong inspection for the procuratorial organs in the city. It is the sum of the new working mechanism of science and technology compulsory inspection, and it is a professional technical place that integrates the procuratorial technical resources of the whole city, concentrates on work and scientific research, operates independently, and provides scientific and technological support and technical services for the procuratorial organs of the whole city.
The research base performs four functions, namely, the construction and application of procuratorial information, judicial expertise, technical evidence review, inquest and inspection, criminal audio-visual, technical application research and independent development, and is based on the three basic duties of serving procuratorial organs: supervision, trial and litigation. * * * It has 14 laboratories, including information technology and big data application laboratory, artificial intelligence application laboratory, environmental damage laboratory and forensic pathology laboratory, covering forensic medicine, forensic accounting and other fields.
