Is plasma donation a national act?
Donating plasma is not an act of the state. Blood donation refers to blood donation without compensation, which is used for clinical treatment, that is, lost to patients. It is implemented by local blood stations and belongs to national administrative institutions, mainly to ensure blood supply and blood safety. The so-called plasma donation is actually plasma donation, that is, plasma is provided to the plasma collection station for the production of blood products, which belongs to a production raw material. Single pulp purchasing station is located in poverty-stricken areas, considering solving the lives of some local poor people. For the sake of blood safety, blood donors can't participate in voluntary blood donation.

Legal basis: Article 62 of the Administrative Measures for Plasmapheresis Stations.

In violation of the relevant provisions of these measures, the plasma collection station has one of the following acts, which shall be given a warning by the administrative department of health of the local people's government at or above the county level and fined not more than 30 thousand yuan:

(1) Concealing, obstructing or refusing the supervision and inspection by the administrative department of health or failing to provide relevant information truthfully;

(2) Failing to fulfill the obligation of informing the plasma donors in advance and carrying out special immunization without the consent of the plasma donors;

(3) Failing to establish the system of file management, screening and elimination of plasma donors in accordance with regulations;

(four) not in accordance with the provisions of the work system or not implemented;

(five) the staff has not obtained the relevant post qualifications or engaged in blood collection and supply work without practicing registration;

(6) Failing to record or keep work records in accordance with regulations;

(seven) failing to keep the plasma samples in accordance with the provisions.

Why is there a loss of time for donating plasma?

1, plasma donation can save lives. However, there are still many people in society who don't donate whole blood or plasma. Therefore, plasma donors are undoubtedly a few caring people who have contributed to society.

2. Donating plasma requires more personal time and transportation expenses. It takes only 5- 10 minutes to donate whole blood, while it takes more than 30 minutes to donate plasma. When collecting whole blood, the blood collection vehicle can easily drive to the blood donors, but donating plasma is much more troublesome. In order to ensure the safety of plasma donors, there are stricter requirements on the site, equipment, technology and personnel of plasma collection stations. Plasma donors must go to the plasma collection station to donate plasma themselves, which will cost more time and money in transportation.

3. Plasma donation requires long-term fixed donation. In order to ensure the safety of blood products to the greatest extent, blood products must implement strict "raw plasma quarantine period management system", so that the collected plasma can safely pass the virus window period and avoid those plasma contaminated by virus from flowing into the production process. Therefore, if a person donates only 1 or 2 times of plasma a year or a lifetime just like donating whole blood, such plasma can't be put into production and can't save anyone's life at all, and donating plasma will lose its due significance.
