Reflections on Reading Ding Youkuan's Preference for Poor Students
Teacher Ding Youkuan is a national special teacher. He worked hard in the field of hope for more than forty years, sowed the seeds of hope, shed hard sweat and devoted his life's efforts. Now fruitful, peaches and plums all over the world. Some seedlings that were dying in those days have now grown into towering trees, and some urchins that were once called hopeless have now become useful talents for the construction of the motherland. Reading Miss Ding's argument of "favoring poor students", stepping on the bumpy road that Miss Ding walked and looking at her weather-beaten wrinkles, I seem to be deeply moved by a sincere heart. This is a pure heart full of love for students, a determination that embodies the brilliant thoughts of education and teaching, and the persistent spirit of the older generation of educators who are diligent in seeking and selfless dedication. Tracing back to the source, why is Mr. Ding still so committed to education today in his seventies? That is the infinite love for education and the true feelings for students. In particular, the thought of "being kind to poor students" is the ideological essence that Teacher Ding has been fighting for all his life. Influenced by Mr. Ding's thoughts, I also made some attempts in my own teaching practice:

First, touch poor students with love.

Poor students generally refer to those who are undisciplined and fall behind in their grades. It can be divided into two situations: one is poor behavior habits, which is manifested in frequent quarrels and fights with classmates, inattention in class, small gestures, frequent lateness, truancy, and failure to finish homework on time. The other is poor academic performance. The performance is that homework is often not completed. Although I don't make small moves in class, I don't concentrate, I'm in a trance, I don't raise my hand to speak to the teacher's questions, and I fail every water test. Poor ability to accept, think and solve problems. These students, schools, grades and classes will exist to varying degrees. In the face of these students, do we adopt a discriminatory and indifferent attitude, or do we take active education and strive to transform? This is the standard to measure whether a teacher is qualified. Faced with such students, Mr. Ding confidently put forward the slogan of "favoring poor students" and summed up the effective experience of "excavating bright spots, supporting the starting point, grasping the turning point and promoting leap forward", which provided useful reference for our education to transform poor students. In the class I teach, there is a student whose parents are divorced and his family lacks warmth. Going home from school, parents don't care. No one cares about his clothes, no one asks about his homework, no place to complain about his sufferings, and no place to say anything, forming a lonely, depressed and painful character. When I came to school, I didn't adapt. I sat there alone in a daze, didn't raise my hand in class and didn't finish my homework. When the teacher asked him questions, he just bowed his head and said nothing. I found this situation, so I used my spare time to talk to him and get to know the situation. At first, he hesitated. After the teacher asked patiently for many times, he told the inside story. The classmates who live in the same place with him also provided some information. What shall we do? Touch him with love! I took advantage of my holiday to go to his home, and at the same time brought him some notebooks, excellent compositions of primary school students and other materials. Encourage him to overcome difficulties, be independent, be strong and meet challenges. At the same time, I also took time out to make up lessons for him, which moved me. Understand it. Sometimes he doesn't eat, and I even take out my own money to buy him food. He was deeply moved. Later, the poor student regained his spirit and was strict with himself. He gradually handed in his homework and sometimes raised his hand to speak in class. I caught these bright spots and immediately praised and encouraged him. Because the teacher's care deeply touched his young heart, he has been strict with himself, overcame the shortcomings of self-abandonment before, and finally caught up and became a good student.

Second, educate poor students with enthusiasm.

Enthusiasm is the premise of doing a good job. With enthusiasm, you have the enthusiasm for work and the courage and confidence to overcome difficulties. In his teaching career of more than 40 years, Mr. Ding Can is down-to-earth and selfless, which is precisely because of his enthusiasm for work. With his diligence and unremitting efforts, he creatively invented the "combination of reading and writing" in Chinese teaching, which opened up a successful road for us to have a good Chinese class and effectively improve students' basic knowledge of Chinese. We should be more enthusiastic about poor students. We should melt the cold hearts of poor students with enthusiasm, warm their distorted feelings with enthusiasm, and encourage students to keep moving forward with enthusiasm. Teacher Ding is a model to change poor students. During his decades of teaching career, he observed, explored and summarized eight personality types of business students. He worked hard and made unremitting efforts to transform 26 poor students' classes, which were commended as advanced classes by teachers and transformed more than 300 poor students into excellent students step by step. This is worthy of the reputation of "spring breeze warms people's hearts, fully educates new people and strives to transform poor students". I use Teacher Ding's successful experience in transforming poor students to guide my practice. There is such a poor student in my class. His family conditions are good and his life is rich. It is an exaggeration to say that he lives a life of food and clothing. His parents regard him as a little sun and make every effort to accommodate him. However, due to overindulgence and incorrect educational methods, children have formed a self-willed, boastful and proud character, and also developed inertia and randomness. Homework is often not handed in, and it is scribbled. Sometimes the homework handed in is also to cut corners and only complete part of it. I often chat with my classmates in class and make small moves. After class, I often have disputes with my classmates, hurting them and getting complaints from my parents. In this way, he became a fierce horse in the class, and everyone was afraid of his three points. He was once isolated in the class and his grades kept declining. I reported the student's various performances to his parents, who were in a hurry, didn't scold or fight, and were at a loss like a dog biting a hedgehog. Knowing this situation, I took the initiative to go to the student's home to understand the situation and discuss the education methods with his parents. Please ask his parents not to indulge their children too much, and the criticism should still be criticized. At school, the teacher is strict with him, and he has to make up the homework he didn't hand in. He also mobilized his classmates to get close to him and help him, and the teacher used his spare time to help him make up lessons. Teach him not to be proud, not to boast, to be modest and prudent, and to be down-to-earth. In the lesson of failure, the student felt that it was no longer possible to continue like this, so he slowly changed. I seized these favorable opportunities, encouraged him with great enthusiasm and helped him to gradually overcome his shortcomings and make continuous progress. Finally, I was admitted to a key middle school and became a potential student.

Third, transform students with perseverance.

Transforming students' work is not a one-off event, but a hard and long-term ideological education work. Only in the long-term education work, we can patiently and carefully observe students' ideological trends, behavior habits, emotional changes, classroom performance and so on. Only in this way can we truly understand the inner world of poor students, solve their ideological problems and promote their transformation. Teacher Ding has devoted herself to the transformation of poor students with her unique perseverance during her decades of teaching career. One urchin turned into a child, and the underachievers turned into top students. This is indeed another great contribution to education. This educational work of transforming poor students will benefit children for life and have a great influence on their future growth. I've been in this situation. A poor student has jet lag. When you hold him tightly, cooperate closely with his parents and be strict with him, he will be better, his homework can be basically completed, and he can abide by discipline in class. But after a while, he relaxed a little, so he slept late, was late in the morning, missed his homework, quarreled with his classmates, and so on. Facing this classmate, we should have great perseverance to educate and help him. In class, he said he didn't have any books, so I tried to find books for him. When he did his homework, he said he didn't have an exercise book, so I helped him find one. He said he wouldn't do it when he encountered a problem, so I patiently inspired him. He felt that the teacher really helped him and was very moved. Later, he slowly corrected his shortcomings, carefully completed his homework, listened carefully in class, and rarely quarreled with his classmates. Compared with before, I have changed a lot and become a popular good classmate.

Practice has proved that favoring poor students is the need to change them. For poor students, we really need to spend more energy, make more efforts and make more efforts. To change a poor student is to save a life. This is very beneficial not only to the poor students themselves, but also to their families and even to the motherland. We should continue to touch the poor students with love, educate them with enthusiasm, transform them with perseverance, and contribute our lives to training the next generation of teenagers to become useful talents in the construction of the motherland.

Fourth, care for poor students with your heart

We teachers should pay attention to the poor students' every move, every word and deed, keep them in mind, analyze their inner world, give them more love, discover their changes in time, and take effective measures quickly to make their bad signs disappear in the bud. For example, a playful student in my class occasionally dozes off in class at noon and lacks concentration. After class, I called him and asked him carefully. However, he hesitates and hesitates, and I guess there must be a mystery. So, I found a classmate who knew his situation and asked him carefully. It turned out that at noon, he went to a video game room to play video games. He didn't sleep at noon and had no energy in class. Knowing this situation, I talked to him again, explained the harm of this practice clearly, and contacted his parents for help. If there are no special circumstances at noon, he should not go out alone to avoid accidents. With the efforts of both sides, the naughty student corrected his shortcomings and became cute.

Students are the future of the motherland and the hope of the world. It is our teachers' bounden duty to educate and cultivate their healthy growth. Let's devote our lives to training more high-quality talents for our motherland.
