UniformResourceLocator (URL, the abbreviation of English uniforResourceLocator), also known as web address, is the address of standard resources on the Internet. That is, the unique and identifiable address of a page in the World Wide Web. A link URL is the link address of a web page. Enter the URL in the address bar of the browser to view the content of the web page. Tim Berners-Li Faming originally used it as the address of the World Wide Web. Now it has been compiled by the World Wide Web Consortium as the Internet standard RFC 1738.
