Wei Zhi, whose name is Xuancheng, is from Quzhou. Not so lonely, lonely and ambitious. At the beginning, he washed the horse for the prince, and Taizong acceded to the throne, worshiping doctors and ministers, and seeking promotion to a captain to help seal Zheng Guogong. Resignation due to illness, worship, but also know how to save trouble. Believe in the truth and know everything. Emperor Taizong either led himself to lie inside, traveled around the world, and tasted to be an ancient famous minister. Collating and compiling dense books, compiling the history of Qi, Liang, Chen, Zhou and Sui, with more preface than his own. Go to hell, Wen Zhen. Twenty volumes, one volume of poetry today.
Reflections on Wei Zhi.
Ancient emperors, with supreme status, were often self-righteous. Only they ordered the issuance of imperial edicts to teach or reprimand ministers and people, and rarely heard officials admonish or criticize the emperor. Wei Zhi in the Tang Dynasty was a very special one.
Wei Zhi, born in 580 AD, was born in Qucheng, Julu County. First, he was a subordinate of Prince Li, and was appointed as the Prince to wash horses. Li and his brother are sworn enemies, and they have repeatedly discussed with Li Jian how to eradicate them. In 626 AD, the "Xuanwumen Change" was launched, and Li was killed and captured. Li Shimin asked Wei Zhi, "Why do you want to alienate our brother?" Wei Zhi said, "If the prince had listened to me, there would not be today!" Wei Zhi is so contradictory, but Li Shimin thinks he is a talented person. Instead of killing him, he worshipped him as an admonition officer and gave himself advice. And Wei Zhi, also honest you're welcome, earnestly perform their duties, designed to find fault with Li Shimin.
From the above description, we can already feel that these two people are respectable and lovely. Emperor Taizong was really an enlightened monarch. He once asked Wei Zhi, "How can you tell right from wrong when you are emperor?" Wei Zhi said, "Listening is bright and listening is dark." Really hit the nail on the head, short and pithy. No matter how powerful Wei Zhi is, as long as he sees that there is something wrong with Emperor Taizong, he will speak out and remonstrate. Sometimes when he lost his temper, he looked the same, so Emperor Taizong had to restrain his anger. Therefore, Emperor Taizong was very afraid of Wei Zhi. Once, Emperor Taizong was going to visit Zhong Nanshan, and all his luggage was packed. But later, he was afraid that Wei Zhi would criticize him for wasting people and money, so he didn't go. Emperor Taizong once got an excellent kite and put it on his arm. When he saw Wei Zhi coming, he quickly hid the kite in his arms. Who knows Wei Zheng has a lot to report to him? After a long time, the kite suffocated in her arms. Of course, sometimes Emperor Taizong really couldn't stand Wei Zhi's offense. Once, he retreated to the palace and shouted angrily, "One day, he will kill this country guy!" " When the eldest grandson asked who to kill, he said, "Wei Zhi often insults me in public!" " ! The eldest grandson immediately congratulated him and said, "Kevin·Z is loyal and frank because your majesty is a wise Lord." When he heard these words, his anger subsided. He later said to his ministers, "People say that Wei Zhi has a rough attitude, but I seem to think he is more moderate. "
Later, Emperor Taizong's life gradually became extravagant, and Wei Zhi was very worried. He advised me several times, and one of the most famous articles was "Ten Thoughts on Advising Emperor Taizong". This advice warned Emperor Taizong to reflect and restrain from ten aspects, so as to "be prepared for danger in times of peace" and "refrain from extravagance and thrift". Only by doing this can the country "bow its head". According to statistics, during his tenure, he made more than 200 speeches. In 643 AD, Wei Zhi died of illness, and Emperor Taizong wept bitterly, saying, "People can take bronze clothes as mirrors; Looking at the past as a mirror, we can see the rise and fall; Take people as a mirror, you can know the gains and losses. Wei Zhi didn't, I lost a mirror! "
During the reign of Emperor Taizong and Li Shimin, the country was peaceful and the people were safe, which was called "Zhenguan rule" in history. The war was attributed to Wei Zheng who dared to speak out and a modest emperor. Because the article "Ten Thoughts on Emperor Taizong" is selected in the new textbook of senior high school, I often cause some unnecessary associations after teaching.
Criticism and self-criticism is one of the fine styles of the * * * Party, but these years, this fine style has not been carried forward, especially among the top leaders. Although there was a "Wei Zhi" who dared to remonstrate, there was no "Taizong" who was modest and eager to learn, which destroyed the democratic centralism within the party and made it useless. But then I saw the "supreme instructions" coming down one after another, and no one dared to bring them up, which led to the "ten-year catastrophe" and repeated nightmares.
Today, it is still a pity that we can always see the instructions and teachings of leaders at all levels, but it is difficult to see an article that exhorts or criticizes the boss. If the "boss" is decent and outstanding, and there is nothing to remonstrate and criticize, that's fine, but many "bosses" are secretly thieves and prostitutes, such as Cheng, Mu and so on. The deterioration of these people is not a day or two, but several years. Don't their subordinates know? It's not that I don't know, but that I don't interfere, expose or save, because they know very well that criticizing my boss is tantamount to smashing my job and smashing my own black veil. As long as you don't go with the flow, you may still have a chance when the boss is caught.
Therefore, the form of "democratic life meeting" has disappeared in institutions, enterprises, rural areas and schools today, and the tradition of "criticism and self-criticism" has also disappeared. Under the grand slogan of "so-and-so responsibility system", some factory directors, managers and presidents dare to ask millions or tens of millions of yuan to gamble at will in Macao, dare to take bribes and even dare to be smart. Corrupt officials, big or small, disclosed in newspapers are usually exposed by themselves or others, and few subordinates expose them. As a subordinate, you are actually watching your boss go to the grave tacitly!
A powerful man should understand that it is very dangerous to stand on a cliff without Wei Zhi around him. Aren't your subordinates hurting you by flattering you everywhere?
Speaking of Wei Zhi, there is actually a lot to say. ...
