The main tasks of air force logistics are: to be responsible for the supply of aviation equipment, oil, ammunition, gas, power supply and other materials needed for combat and training, to organize the implementation of obstacle protection services such as flight control, communication, navigation, meteorology and transportation, to maintain and protect airport facilities, and to undertake tasks such as security, medical rescue and life support.

Air Force Logistics is the first-level organization of China People's Liberation Army Air Force, which is responsible for the aviation logistics support of the airport. Its establishment level and scale vary with different tasks and support capabilities. Usually it belongs to the training group of aviation division or flight academy, and has jurisdiction over airport clearance, service detachment and warehouse, and is guided by logistics and related departments at higher levels in business.

As a military activity, logistics has its specific logistics organization and logistics guarantee content. With the development of capitalist economy and the progress of weapons and equipment brought about by industrial revolution, logistics organization and logistics tasks have expanded rapidly like snowballing.

Mainly manifested in:

(1) The consumption of materials has increased, and the variety and structure have changed greatly. Ammunition, oil and engineering equipment have replaced grain and grass as the main materials;

(2) With the development of medical technology and transportation, health has gradually become a series of work;

(3) Transportation has also become a special service of the Army: military weapons and equipment gradually replace handmade products with machine products.
