Xun Zi Tian Lun is the work of Xunzi, a Confucian thinker and educator at the end of the Warring States Period. Its main purpose is to reveal that the movement and change of nature has its objective laws, which have nothing to do with personnel, that is, "Heaven always exists, not for Yao's survival, not for Jie's death".
The article also clearly put forward the idea of "controlling fate and making use of it". Xunzi's thought strongly denied all kinds of superstitions at that time and emphasized the role of manpower, which was of great progressive significance in the Warring States period.
Appreciation of Xun Tian Zi Lun
This paper discusses the relationship between heaven and man. Xunzi pointed out in this passage that the operation of nature is regular and unbiased. It is auspicious to conform to this law, but disastrous to violate it. Therefore, wise men and saints only consider the things in the world, only consider how to adapt to nature, and do not consider how to change the laws of nature.
The chaos of the country has nothing to do with nature, and heaven and earth have their own laws. Gentlemen, like nature, have certain codes of conduct and always follow them; Villains are utilitarian and fickle. Facts have proved that it is not the sky that is terrible, but all kinds of behaviors (people's coats) that violate human etiquette and morality. Therefore, Xunzi opposed the superstitious ceremony of praying to the gods.
