1. First, open your own program through STEP 7 MicroWIN software, and click "Ethernet Wizard" in the menu "Tools".
2. Click "Next" in the pop-up dialog box to display the specified module as shown in the figure, click "Read Module" to search for the module to be configured, and double-click the searched module to specify the position of the module in the CPU.
3. Click Next to open the module IP address dialog box in Figure 3, as shown by the red arrow, where you can set the required IP address and enter it as needed.
4. After the configuration is completed, click Next to show the following figure. By default, it is the module command word option. You can specify the number of computers connected in the peer-to-peer connection, with a maximum of 8 computers supported, and the maximum value is generally set to "8".
5. Configure the communication mode. The PLC here can be accessed as a server, that is, a remote computer (client), and PLC does not need to write any communication program. Therefore, all channels are configured as servers and "accept all connection requests", which means that there is no need to specify the IP address of the remote client; Otherwise, you need to specify the IP address of the remote machine to access.
It is important to note that the "local attribute TSAP 10.0 1" of each connection channel is different, and some PC softwares need this port number for communication.
6. The next step is to follow the prompts. Pay special attention to "allocate storage area for configuration", which can definitely copy storage units in user programs. Otherwise, the program may produce unexpected results. Finally, click Finish, and the IP address is configured successfully.
