Volleyball, as an exotic sport, was introduced to China more than 100 years ago, and it only developed into a kind of entertainment in middle school. Historically, the earliest official international volleyball match in China can be traced back to the first Far East Games in 19 13. After the game, volleyball attracted the attention of China people and was very popular. Just like the brilliance created by women's volleyball team, the early China men's volleyball team was once a bright spot in history. From 19 15 to 1934, in the 10th Far East Games, China won the men's volleyball championship five times, while China women's volleyball team just developed.
Of course, the volleyball formation in the early years was completely different from what we see now. From the 16-12 -9-player system to the 6-player system with stable structure, China volleyball has experienced decades of evolution, including 24 years of 9-player volleyball. What we don't know is that volleyball is called "volleyball" because nine players stand in three rows with three people in each row, which is a seemingly simple origin. In these short decades, China athletes have created many high-level skills and tactics, and gradually formed the characteristics of China volleyball. However, due to the National Revolutionary War and the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the development of volleyball in China was once stagnant.
After the founding of New China, volleyball was promoted to a national key event. 1950 after the formation of the first men's volleyball team in new China, six-a-side volleyball officially took root in China. Maybe we thought that the volleyball match would blossom and bear fruit smoothly, but we didn't expect that ten years of turmoil stopped the pace of volleyball in China. 1976, the newly formed China men's volleyball team and women's volleyball team won the fifth and fourth place in the World Cup respectively, which once again confirmed the resumption of volleyball in China. Then there is the great cause of "five consecutive championships", which is still talked about by Chinese people. After winning the world championship for the first time in 198 1, China women's volleyball team won five championships in the 82nd World Championships, the 84th Los Angeles Olympic Games, the 85th World Cup and the 86th World Cup.
The upsurge of learning the spirit of women's volleyball has also begun. Of course, the men's volleyball team also made a great breakthrough at this time. It not only won the top 8 in a series of competitions, but even made young students of Peking University shout out the famous slogan of "rejuvenating China", just like a beautiful spike. No one will know what the next ball will do. China men's volleyball team and women's volleyball team fell into a trough after 1980s, and it was not until 1995 that the volleyball system reform gradually recovered. 1996 the first national volleyball league also injected new impetus into the future development of volleyball in China.
