Slogan of Wisdom Disabled Persons' Federation
Caring for them is not pity! Caring for others is more important than anything else. When you are with them, don't always emphasize what is good. In fact, some things are difficult for them to do. We can think of them from the side and better safeguard their interests. The premise is not to pity them. Not to say that there is no compassion, but to build on mutual trust and let them feel our love for them! Students and teachers: Do you know what day it was yesterday? Maybe many people don't know what's different about yesterday. For most people, this day is an ordinary Sunday. For the disabled, this day is a special day, because it is the15th National Day for Helping the Disabled in China. The Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Disabled Persons was adopted at the 17th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Seventh NPC and came into force on May 5, 2005. Article 48 of the Law on the Protection of Disabled Persons stipulates that "the third Sunday of May every year is the National Day for Helping the Disabled". 1992, the 47th session of the United Nations General Assembly also adopted a resolution to designate February 3rd, 65438, as the International Day of Disabled Persons. Every year, Helping the Disabled Day has a theme. The theme of this year's "Helping the Disabled Day" is "Equal enjoyment, promoting the employment of disabled people". In other words, let's treat every disabled person equally, let the majority of disabled people take part in work, live a rich life, and run a well-off society. Disability can be generally divided into five types: visual disability, hearing disability, physical disability, intellectual disability and mental disability. According to statistics, there are currently more than 600 million disabled people in the world, accounting for about 10% of the global population, and 80% of them are distributed in developing countries. There are more than 60 million disabled people in China, accounting for 5% of the total population. In other words, one in 20 people is disabled. Among them, there are about 6.25 million disabled children and adolescents in China. There are about 6.5438+0.4 million disabled children aged 0-6 years, and nearly 200,000 disabled children aged 0-6 years are added every year, among which intellectual disability accounts for the highest proportion. So there are many disabled people around us waiting for your help. When you know this day, please lend a helping hand to the disabled people around you and let them enjoy the happiness of work, study and life with us. I also hope that this kind of care is not only carried out on this day, but every child should always care about the disabled around him. The disabled people around us have worked hard in the reform, opening up and modernization, which not only made positive contributions to social development, but also realized their grand ideals and values in life. The indomitable spirit and beautiful sentiment of the disabled people in China are a true portrayal of our great national spirit. The number of disabled people in China involves one-fifth of families and touches the hearts of 200 million relatives of disabled people. The situation of disabled people not only directly affects their family life, but also relates to the development and stability of the whole society. The party and the government have always been very concerned about the disabled and attached importance to their cause. Disabled people have never been so concerned and valued as they are today. In the past ten years, China has taken a series of measures to improve the situation of the disabled, promulgated the Law on the Protection of the Disabled, established and improved federations of the disabled at all levels, and carried out activities to help the disabled through self-improvement. Through a lot of fruitful work, the living conditions of the disabled have been significantly improved, and the social understanding of the disabled has undergone profound changes. Disabled people actively participate in social life and have made great contributions to the construction of the motherland. Disabled people are equal members of society and creators of social wealth. Therefore, we should respect every disabled person. However, due to their own functional barriers, there are still some people in society who have discrimination and prejudice against the disabled, which makes them encounter many difficulties or violations in their work, study and life, making them a particularly difficult group and a vulnerable group in need of care and help. At present, among the 30 million poor people in China, the disabled account for more than one third, which means that there are still about100000 poor disabled people whose basic life is still not guaranteed; Most disabled people have not yet received basic rehabilitation services; The enrollment rate of disabled children, especially blind, deaf and mentally retarded children, is far lower than that of healthy children and adolescents. According to statistics of relevant departments, by 2002, there were 1624 special education schools in China, and 3,322 special education classes were attached to ordinary schools, with nearly 570,000 students. However, hundreds of thousands of disabled children still drop out of school or drop out of school because of poverty. In addition, there are few employment opportunities for the disabled and the employment rate is low; Violations of the legitimate rights and interests of the disabled occur from time to time, and the problem of the disabled remains a prominent and urgent problem. Therefore, it is our unshirkable responsibility to care about the difficulties of the disabled, and it is also the need to create a harmonious society. In a magazine, I saw two contrasting photos: one is a disabled person with a cane to cut his hair, and the other is a person with sound limbs curled up on a street corner and begging. The same is for life, two people have the same purpose, but the methods are completely different. Which of the two do the children think we should learn from? Yes, we should learn from barbers who love labor and earn their own living. In fact, since ancient times, many disabled people have been self-taught and constantly striving for self-improvement. For example, during the Warring States Period, Sun Bin wrote the famous Art of War. Although A Bing, who loves music, is blind, he wrote many famous songs, among which "Two Springs Reflect on the Moon" is his masterpiece. Zhang Haidi is a model of contemporary disabled people. She wrote many famous works in a wheelchair and is now a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Zhang Jianhua, a sixth-grade student at Huaici Primary School in Daishan County, Zhejiang Province, is a boy of 14 years old who has lost two arms. But with tenacious perseverance, he tied the pen to the broken arm with a rubber band and learned to write. At the age of 6, he was knocked down by a high-voltage line and lost his arms. He wrote on the broken arm with a rubber band, but it hurt. However, Zhang Jianhua still insists on writing for three hours every day, using a 420-meter-long rubber band, which is twice as long as our track. Finally, I learned to write, insert clothes, wash my face and cook, and basically take care of myself. He not only achieved excellent academic results, but also performed well in sports and labor, even reaching the standard in running and standing long jump. There are many touching stories of disabled people starting businesses in Haining. Zhou Yuefeng, the former Haining High School, also lost his arms because of high-voltage lines in elementary school, but he overcame all kinds of difficulties and was finally admitted to the History Department of Zhejiang University with excellent results. Now I'm a graduate student. Of course, there are many such examples. They are disabled but not abolished, physically disabled and determined, which embodies the value and dignity of life. While we are in awe of them, every child should consider himself a healthy person, cherish the existing learning conditions, learn their spirit of self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-reliance, learn their indomitable enterprising spirit, study hard, study hard, listen to every class, do every homework, exercise and be on duty every time. Students, many things are easy for us, but they are extravagant hopes. All you need is one hand to help the disabled, a little effort to stand on the bus and a little detour to take care of their special facilities. Caring for the disabled is the responsibility of the whole society. Let's start today, from around us, from small things, from bit by bit, not just today, but every day. Let each of us give our love, carry forward the traditional virtues of respecting the elderly and caring for the young, and help the disabled, and give more care and help to the disabled!
