Introduction:
This story takes place in a world where machines are rampant. Robots, robot pets, even fire hydrants and mailboxes are "active". Like human beings, they are busy for their livelihood and money. Rodney (voiced by Ivan Macquigg) was born in such a world. He was assembled by robot parents with parts 12 hours. Although they are not rich, they live happily. As he grew up, Rodney's dream of becoming an inventor became stronger and stronger. He hopes to succeed one day and make life better for himself and his family. Therefore, he decided to visit his idol-bigweld (voiced by mel brooks) in Robot City. Bigweld is the president of a large enterprise, and his immortal performance and firm fighting spirit have deeply influenced Rodney. Bigweld especially welcomes robots with unconventional ideas. His slogan is: whether you are made of gold or not, you can shine. So Rodney decided to try his luck on him and see if his copper head full of strange ideas could come in handy.
But just when Rodney arrived in Robot City to show his invention, Bigweld had left and was replaced by the ambitious sawtooth president. Sawtooth is a selfish guy who only knows how to make money. Coupled with the constant pressure from his mother (voiced by Jim Braud), Sawtooth decided that the company would no longer provide accessories for those old robots in the future. They use the production of new robots to make huge profits by constantly upgrading themselves. Moreover, the company's slogan has been changed to: since it can be new, why should it remain as it is?
So Rodney and his friends decided to get Bigweld back, restore the safe and quiet society before, and prevent the old robots from being killed. ...
