Hufflepuff, taking this name apart in English is a very common idiom in English, huff and puff. Huff and puff means "breathe loudly (after physical activity)".

Therefore, we can understand "throughput" as the working class, which is often referred to as "blue collar". Hufflepuff College is like the "blue-collar college" at Hogwarts.

Ravenclaw College: (Ravenclaw)

University spirit: quick thinking, wit and erudition.

Ravenclaw is a combination of crow and claws. According to legend, crow is a clever bird and can be learned quickly. Although Ravenclaw didn't choose the crow as the emblem, the eagle is also a clever bird.

Slytherin College: (Slytherin)

University spirit: do whatever it takes to achieve the goal.

The word slidedy comes from the English word "slidedy". "slither" means "crawling like a snake". Slytherin's choice of snakes is natural.
