Therefore, the investigation and development of deep groundwater resources have been gradually expanded. This requires reasonable development and utilization of shallow and deep groundwater in proportion. The implementation of stratified water intake is conducive to controlling land subsidence, alleviating the expansion trend of funnels in some areas, and exploring and developing deep groundwater in a planned way. The application of the new high-efficiency drilling technology in deep water wells and geothermal wells can show its advantages. Therefore, it has broad application prospects. For example, the new technologies of percussive rotary drilling and wireline coring drilling in hydrogeological holes and wells in deep bedrock can double the drilling efficiency.
2) In the process of western development, many hydrogeological holes and wells are drilled in arid and water-deficient areas. In order to effectively solve the contradiction of local water shortage, air drilling and air foam drilling have played an irreplaceable role in the exploration and development of groundwater.
3) In the construction of water-seeking drilling in karst rocky mountain areas in southwest China, due to many caves and serious leakage, conventional water-based drilling fluid circulation drilling will not work normally, and multi-process air drilling technology will be of great use.
4) With the implementation of China's sustainable development strategy, well drilling has gone beyond the scope of water supply, involving groundwater compensation, sewage removal, urban land subsidence and restoration, etc. The expansion of the application field of water well drilling shows that the application field of its corresponding drilling technology is also expanding.
5) The implementation of large-scale urban engineering projects and the development and utilization of underground space require a large number of drainage projects, which also opens up a new world for the application of new drilling technology.
6) With the further development of new drilling technology, another new application field of geotechnical drilling and excavation engineering-ground source heat pump technology has started in China. This technology is a heat pump system using underground rocks, soil, groundwater and surface water as low-temperature heat sources, which can be used for heating in winter and cooling in summer, and has dual benefits of environmental protection and energy saving. Internationally, underground energy storage technology and high-efficiency heat pump have been included in the 50 most promising new technologies in 2 1 century.
