Can trigger the action of UAC
UAC is annoying
Yes, Microsoft has joined UAC since Windows VISTA, which has become one of the criticisms of people's dissatisfaction with VISTA, because VSITA can't set the level of UAC like Windows7 (in fact, UAC in Windows 7 is also annoying), and the general configuration of computers at that time was also very low, so people were disgusted with this guy who always popped up the lock screen.
Perfection of UAC in Windows 7
Because UAC is so annoying, Microsoft added UAC's level setting function to Windows 7, which corresponds to four levels respectively:
Security level adjustment
Highest level:
At the advanced level, "always notify (that is, fully open)", under this level, when users install applications, upgrade software, applications change the operating system under any circumstances, change Windows settings, etc. , a prompt window will pop up (secure desktop will be enabled), asking the user to confirm. It can be seen that this level is the safest level, but it is also the most troublesome level. Suitable for other standard users who use a computer. It is forbidden to change the system settings at will.
Default level:
By default, the user will be prompted only when the application tries to change the computer settings, and will not be prompted when the user actively changes the settings of Windows. At the same time, Secure Desktop will be enabled in this mode to prevent system settings from being changed by bypassing UAC. It can be seen that the default level can neither interfere with the normal operation of users, but also effectively prevent malicious programs from modifying system settings without the knowledge of users. General users can adopt this level setting.
Level slightly lower than the default level:
Slightly different from the default level, this level does not enable secure desktop, which means that you can change the system settings by bypassing UAC. But generally speaking, if users need to modify the system to start some programs, they can run them directly without causing security problems. However, if the user pops up a prompt window without running any program, it may be that a malicious program is trying to modify the system settings, so you should resolutely choose to block it. This level is suitable for users with certain system experience.
Lowest level:
The lowest level is to turn off UAC function (it must be restarted to take effect). At this level, if you log in as an administrator, all operations will run directly without any notice, including the modification of the system by viruses or Trojans. At this level, viruses or Trojans can access other computers in the network at will, and even communicate or transmit data with computers on the Internet. It can be seen that if UAC is completely closed and logged in as an administrator, the system security will be seriously reduced. In addition, if you log in as a standard user, the installation and upgrade of the software or the modification and setting of the system will be directly rejected without any prompt, and the user can only do it with administrator rights. It can be seen that it is very inconvenient to completely turn off UAC and log in as a standard user, so this level is not recommended.
But UAC is very useful
UAC is annoying to people who often install software, but its role should not be underestimated. I have to admit that Microsoft's operating system concept is very advanced, so it often comes up with something great but embarrassing, just like VISTA in those days. Today, when people begin to accept Windows7, they look back at VISTA and realize that VISTA is actually a very good operating system, but it is just outdated.
