Border guards along the Dulong River: Walking on Feng Daofeng.
Dulongjiang Township, Yunnan Province, is known as "the last secret land of China".

For millions of years, Gaoligong Mountain and Delika Mountain have been silently facing each other. The galloping Dulong River, like a winding dragon, lurks between two mountains.

Dulong is one of the least populated ethnic groups in China. They have lived here for generations, by the river, and have little contact with the outside world. 70 years ago, Dulong was still at the end of primitive society, with records of knots and slash-and-burn cultivation. Sixty years ago, the Dulong people used tree holes as houses and crossbows as hunting.

Until an honorary group brought modern civilization here-

1952, China People's Liberation Army crossed Gaoligong Snow Mountain and entered Dulong River; 1964, Dulongjiang border police station was established; 1983, the Nujiang Frontier Detachment of the Armed Police took over the defense; On 20 19, the border guards and soldiers of the armed police were transformed into the national exit-entry management police, and the border police station was transformed into the Dulongjiang border police station.

In 70 years, there was no land to grow, so they reclaimed land and dug holes. There is no way, they cut down mountains to build roads; If there is no rice in cooking, they will pass it on; Without learning or skill, they cut down trees to build houses. In 20 14, the Dulong River Highway Tunnel in Gaoligongshan was completed and opened to traffic, and the Dulong once again bid farewell to the rope-sliding life of packhorses. By the end of 20 18, Dulong people had been lifted out of poverty. 202 1, Dulongjiang Township became "the second batch of national rural governance demonstration towns".

Today, Dulongjiang Border Police Station has 38 entry-exit management policemen and 3 trainee policemen, with an average age of 28.5 years. They are affectionately known as "the intimate people of Dulong". On April 20 19, Dulongjiang Border Police Station was awarded the "China Youth May 4th Medal Collective" by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and all-china youth federation. 20 19, 1 1, won the first batch of "Qiao Feng-style police stations" in China; In May of 20021year, it was awarded "National Advanced Grassroots Party Organization" by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.

The mountains are lofty and the rivers are surging. This glorious collective is closely related to the Dulong nationality, which is rich in fish and water. With youth and sweat, he wrote a magnificent poem about national immigration management and defending the border and the people.

Endless snow and rain.

The heavy snow closed the mountain again.

24-year-old Bu Peng Yu took his annual leave last year, and the mountain was blocked by heavy snow, so he waited for three days before going out. He used to be a soldier in Jilin and saw snow piling up on his calf, but the young man never imagined that in Dulongjiang, Yunnan, snow could actually wipe the road clean.

It is not easy to get in and out of Dulong River. The only way in and out is to climb over Gaoligong Mountain, which is more than 3,800 meters above sea level. The snow season is from 10 to March of the following year. It is common that snow reaches as high as two meters overnight. Even if the road is opened, the speed of shovel can't keep up with the speed of snow.

The same experience happened to Tang Changlong, a 26-year-old soldier in Hainan. He thought that "the climate in Yunnan and Hainan is similar". When he first arrived in Dulongjiang to report, he and nine other colleagues were trapped by heavy snow and waited outside the mountain for two days before going in.

The snow is heavy and the bend is urgent. Zhang Peng had heard about it before he came. He was a soldier in 16, and he was well informed, but 80 kilometers into the mountain road, there were 749 bends waiting for them, with an average of less than tens of meters being a sharp bend. He and five colleagues staggered and vomited, even the experienced driver got carsick.

Along the way, there is a cliff on the right and an abyss on the left. Cars can only drive carefully. If you are not careful, people and cars will rush off the cliff. Zhang Peng thought that this might be the first test that Dulongjiang gave them.

then what Then the rain won't stop.

Dulongjiang Township is behind the snow-capped mountains. It is rainy all year round, and the thick white fog hangs around my waist, so heavy that I can't wait to break it with my fist. The newcomer thought it was a fairyland. After staying for a long time, they just feel depressed. But Peng Yu often encounters the rain next month. "People are moldy."

The average annual precipitation in Dulongjiang Township is nearly 4000mm, which is three times that in Guangzhou. Everything is wet, wet and cold bedding, clothes to dry, sultry snacks, and the dormitory door must be open and ventilated during the day.

People can bear it by will, but mountains can't

It rained a lot, and the debris flow and landslide came. When rolling debris crushes the power line, it will cut off the power and cut off the network. If it breaks, fix it. If it is repaired, it will be broken, and then it will be repaired. Just like an island, it will try its best to keep in touch with the outside world through lines.

In the long rainy season, sunshine is the greatest luxury. Wang remembers that as soon as the sun came out at noon, he immediately called all his brothers out. Everyone cheered and took out their bedding, played basketball, ran and stood in the yard in the sun. "I can't wait to do my best."

Although the sun only stayed for three hours and was washed away by the heavy rain, Wang still felt that the feeling of warmth on himself was the feeling of happiness.

In secret, greatly

Dailika Mountain in the west of Dulongjiang River is a natural barrier between China and Myanmar, and boundary pillars No.37 to No.43 are located here respectively.

The higher you go up the mountain, the greener you get. The silence in the forest and the falling of a branch are enough to make people tremble.

There are often wild animals here. Yu Runqiang met Burmese pythons while on duty. "Mud color, the bowl is so thick, and it is on the tree." Black bears and cobras are also frequent visitors. Compared with wild animals, rampant mosquitoes are more annoying. Yu Runqiang was bitten by a grasshopper five times a day. "At first, it was only the size of a pen tip, but it will always suck blood and become as thick as a little finger." It hurts like a piece of meat when the leeches let go.

Of the seven boundary pillars, only one can be reached by car, and the rest are in the virgin forest. It takes a long knife to cut around to get through people. Crazy vines and dead branches are tearing at underwear, and the cut bamboo root is as sharp as a cone, and it is plunged into the body without paying attention.

Eight soldiers have died here in the past 70 years. Some people accidentally fell into the river while repairing roads. Some people visited and encountered mudslides. Some people were attacked by wild animals while patrolling the border. What moved Tang Changlong most was Zhang Bu, a soldier who died in 1964. At that time, Zhang Bu suddenly fell ill on the way to check the boundary. Dulongjiang is short of medicine and medicine, and the mountain is closed by heavy snow. When Premier Zhou Enlai learned about this, he sent a special plane to drop the first aid kit. However, Dulong River is densely forested, and no medicine has been found. Zhang Bu died unfortunately. ...

"The conditions at that time were too bitter. If it is today, such a situation will never happen. " Tang Changlong said.

In 2006, a martyrs cemetery was built on the hillside to commemorate the soldiers who gave their lives to protect Dulongjiang. Gou Guowei is an instructor in the institute and secretary of the Party branch. Whenever a new policeman comes, he always takes young people to the cemetery to pay homage to their ancestors and give them the "first lesson of joining the police." The cemetery is small, facing the Dulong River, quietly looking at the village at the foot of the mountain. The stone tablet in the park reads:

"Castle Peak is full of loyal bones, so why did they still wear boots when they died?"

The predecessors made outstanding contributions, and the baton was passed down from generation to generation. Director Deng Xianghe has been thinking about what he can do for Dulong. Dulongjiang Border Police Station undertakes border defense tasks and mass work within its jurisdiction. In other words, the border management is theirs, and the work of handling cases, facilitating people and popularizing policies within their jurisdiction is also theirs.

Gou Guowei innovatively proposed to build a card for people in remote villages. Anyone who comes to the office for business will take an inch of photos for free. "It's not easy for them to come all the way. They can use it in the future." This move has become the entry point for the convenience service of the border police station. Since then, "night police room", "mobile service car", "mobile registration room" and "backpack police team" have become the norm, which has solved the difficult problem of 1 120 people.

A lot of work has gradually shown results. Since the establishment of the police station, the public security work in the jurisdiction has achieved remarkable results: Dulong is "drug-free for the whole family" and Dulong is "drug-free for the whole town"; During the epidemic prevention and control period, facing the pressure of border input, Dulongjiang Township achieved zero input and zero infection.

Greatness is not only written in heroism, but with ingenuity and sincerity, plus a pair of beautiful legs and persistence day after day, we can skillfully reach the other side of people's hearts.

"She should be proud of me."

The first day when Zhang Peng came to report for duty happened to be a sunny day. He stood in front of the police station and felt that "the sign at the door is shining". He joined the army in 2003, and had the opportunity to change jobs on 20 19, but Zhang Peng chose to come here. Putting on a brand-new police uniform, he felt "wearing this dress is a kind of pride."

Perhaps it is the tempering of military life for many years, and the police still retain the habits of soldiers. Even if bitten by a leech, don't frown and show off that you are a "military medal." Wang said, "Boys are not afraid."

Here, there are many kinds of pride, some hanging on the face and some hidden in the heart.

Tang Changlong got married in June 5438+last year 10. "I have a wife waiting for me at home" is what he often talks about. What makes Yu Runqiang feel most glorious is that the children in the village will salute them with dignity when they see them. When Zhang Peng got up early in the morning, he always saw potatoes and garlic seedlings covered with new mud placed by some fellow villagers at the gate of the police office.

Zhang Wenshun, deputy director, said that his 10-year-old son got double marks in the exam, and after class, he secretly leaned over the head teacher's ear and said, "Teacher, I whispered to you that Dad is back! He is a policeman! "

The instructor Gou Guowei is most worried. In order to improve the office conditions, he equipped every office with intelligent induction trash cans. "I don't want young people to feel disconnected from the outside world." He also added the air fryer to the shopping cart to prepare a surprise for everyone.

Yin Guangli came here through the national examination last year. Compared with everyone's experience as a soldier, she is completely a "budding new" girl. On a separate visit, Yin Guangli came to the home of an old woman. The old man witnessed the alternation of generations of border guards, holding her with wrinkled hands and warming her hands happily.

"Hey, I can make them laugh!" Yin Guangli said proudly.

Jia Hongxiang is not very talkative. His mother is in poor health and still works in Dalian. This is the deepest scar in his heart. The year before last, a serious mudslide occurred in Dulongjiang. Jia Hongxiang, who looks like a scholar, and his colleagues tried their best to rescue a trapped migrant worker regardless of falling rocks on the top of the mountain. As soon as everyone turned around and left, the road that had just stood collapsed and fell into the vast cliff.

Asked about his feelings for the rest of his life after the disaster, Jia Hongxiang hesitated for a moment and said softly, "Mom should be proud of me." He stopped, thought for a moment and said, "I think she will be proud of me."

Farthest from home and closest to the moon.

Most of the policemen in Dulongjiang border police station come from all corners of the country.

In 20 19, Jia Hongxiang crossed the diagonal of the motherland from his hometown in Heilongjiang and came to Dulong River in Yunnan. The police station is built by the river. On the first night of the report, he couldn't sleep until 3 am. The water in Dulongjiang River spouts like a few heavy Tianhe rivers and is close to the ear.

Yin Guangli is also so far away from home for the first time. It is inevitable to be homesick, but the little girl has many ways. She will buy couples clothes for her parents and surprise videos to see if they are wearing them together.

But even if my home is in Yunnan, it is not easy to go back, depending on the weather and the mood in the mountains.

Due to the long-term separation between the two places, several policemen in the office divorced; Married people occasionally face vulnerable moments in intimate relationships.

Wang got married last August. Her lover's name is Wei Lan. She is a soft, weak, shy and introverted girl. Wang couldn't bear to tell her everything about heavy snow, heavy rain and mudslides. He takes some photos of flowers, grass and pebbles every day and says that he has a good time here.

The cruelty of the information age is that nothing can be hidden. Every time the newlywed wife sends the king out, her eyes are swollen like rabbits. On the way, Wang asked himself, "wouldn't she be sad if she had never met her wife?"

The mind of young people, the mentor Gou Guowei experienced it once. He worked here in 2008. After being transferred back to the city, he volunteered to return to Dulongjiang last year. Gou Guowei knows the bitterness of gathering less and leaving more, and suggests that the police can invite family members to the jurisdiction, send cars to the office, and show the girls around the workplace where their husbands work, so that they can feel at ease.

The police station is getting lively. Someone proposed marriage in the office, and some family members came to marry him. With the family coming, the police are more motivated.

Every New Year, Gou Guowei will watch the Spring Festival Gala with the police in Luo's office, eat New Year's Eve, eat melon seeds together and chat all over the world. If someone calls home, a bunch of people will rush to pay a New Year call to their parents.

People living in villages also have their own laws. Last Mid-Autumn Festival, Yu Runqiang, who was on duty for 36 hours at the first-line epidemic prevention and control point, took such a scene: the moon was close at hand and his colleagues were sitting in the moonlight.

The night sky, the ground, the mountains and the Woods, together with the police uniform and the brim, are all shining with silver. Yu Runqiang was completely immersed in the moonlight, which was his closest moment to the moon.

Knife tip/edge

The road ahead is very difficult, just like walking on a sharp blade. If you must pass this mountain, what is the price of going forward?

The policeman's answer is, at all costs.

In May 2020, Dulong River was hit by a rare mudslide, and the hillside collapsed in a large area, "sounding like firecrackers". The villagers recalled.

The policeman Mehoin was on duty downstream first, watching the river stir up dozens of feet of water like boiling. He and his colleagues quickly gathered more than 360 people from the village and transferred them to the police office. Soon, the line piles were destroyed, the road collapsed, the signal was interrupted, and the village and township police stations completely lost contact. After being trapped for a week, Mei Hubin first knew that he couldn't wait any longer and had to report the disaster to the village.

He can't drive, so he has to rely on his legs. Mohammad set out at dawn, and it rained cats and dogs all the way. He avoided falling rocks and waded through floods. Originally, he drove for 1 hour, and Mohammad left for 9 hours first.

People often think that the police can do anything. In fact, frontline policemen are human beings, and sometimes they are helpless or even afraid. The night before Mehtod left, he stayed up all night. He thought about it, wrote a suicide note and solemnly put it in the police uniform. "At least I have an explanation with my wife." Fortunately, the suicide note is useless.

So are other policemen. In the disaster, only one satellite phone was available, so everyone asked the villagers to call first and stood at the back of the line.

In this mudslide rescue, the Dulongjiang Border Police Station dispatched more than 760 people in 128 groups, transferred and resettled more than 650 people affected by the disaster, rescued 28 people trapped, comforted more than 400 stranded tourists and migrant workers, and visited and consoled more than 2,000 people affected by the disaster, which was well received by the township government and the masses.

Nowadays, the villagers spontaneously hang the national flag at their doorsteps. Every household has red bricks and yellow tiles, every village has roads, and grass and fruits are everywhere. Everyone's pockets are bulging, life is getting better, and there are more smiles on their faces.

It is precisely because we have always kept the security of our jurisdiction in mind, cherished national unity as life, and regarded people's happiness as an unshakable road. The policemen of the Dulongjiang Border Police Station turned the blade into a smooth road and turned the mountain road into a road to return, and sang a heroic hymn of "taking root in Dulongjiang and serving the people wholeheartedly".

There is heavy snow and rain in the mountain pass, and the river is like a column and foggy. If you are not careful, you will fall into the abyss and stand on the blade. What should you do?

Strive for the best, have courage, hold your head high, open your eyes wide, and take risks with it again and again. This is the answer that this group of border guards gave to youth.

Butterflies fly by, and the spring breeze doesn't ask the way ahead. I don't know when the spring in Dulong River will come, but lovely people can make a spring wherever they are.
