Data expansion:
Reading is an activity that uses language to obtain information, understand the world, develop thinking and gain aesthetic experience and knowledge. It is a process of obtaining information from visual materials. Visual materials are mainly words and pictures, including symbols, formulas, charts and so on.
Reading is an active process, which is regulated by readers according to different purposes to cultivate people's sentiment and improve their self-cultivation. Reading is a thinking process of understanding, comprehending, absorbing, appreciating, evaluating and exploring articles. Reading can change one's mind and acquire knowledge, which may change one's fate.
Generally speaking, it can be divided into three categories: reading aloud, silent reading and visual reading. The first two categories are also called audio reading, and the latter category is generally called speed reading. Reading aloud (sometimes called reading aloud) means reading aloud. This kind of reading is mostly used for children's literacy, reading and reciting, either because teachers need to know whether students can really read or to test students' reading ability.
Silent reading is reading the pronunciation of words or symbols when there is no sound on the surface but the brain is still reading silently. This reading method is familiar and used by most people today. Sight-playing, that is, speed reading, refers to a reading method that is completely recognized by human visual organs and directly perceived by the brain. It is characterized by reading that is recognized by the eyes and directly affects the brain to produce meaning understanding, and audio reading rarely occurs in the whole process.
If reading speed is the standard, it can be generally divided into two categories: fast reading and slow reading. Reading at a speed more than three times faster than usual is called "speed reading" and can also be divided into "line reading, face reading and schema reading". Reading characterized by overall perception can be called "speed reading".
Fast reading is generally three to ten times faster than slow reading. Slow reading generally refers to reading with a reading speed of 100 words to 300 words per minute. There are many types of reading characterized by slow speed, such as "listening, reading and silent reading" which are common in primary and secondary education.
