How to edit Chinese, Japanese and Korean texts
The characters in Keynote are generally Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters, and sometimes you need to format them if you want to unify the characters. How does Keynote format Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters? Bian Xiao has prepared a tutorial here. If you are interested, come and have a look.

Add bullets in Chinese, Japanese or Korean:

You can add bullets commonly used in Chinese, Japanese or Korean texts. For example, for a Chinese keyboard, you can apply a dot below or above the text, or you can apply a wavy underline to the text. For Japanese text, you can add flat dots or sesame dots.

Switch the keyboard to Chinese, Japanese or Korean keyboard. Select one or more characters of Chinese, Japanese, or Korean text, and then click the text label at the top of the sidebar on the right.

If you don't see the sidebar, or there are no text labels in the sidebar, click the Format button in the toolbar.

Click the Style button near the top of the sidebar, and then click the Bullets button.

The formatting options depend on the keyboard you have enabled.

Use Chinese, Japanese or Korean list styles:

You can apply Chinese, Japanese and Korean list styles (especially bullet styles or numbering systems) to lists written in any language.

Select the list item with the number or letter you want to change. Click the text label at the top of the sidebar on the right, and then click the Style button near the top of the sidebar.

If you don't see the sidebar, or there are no text labels in the sidebar, click the Format button in the toolbar.

Click the disclosure triangle next to Bullets and Lists, and then choose Keynote.

Click the pop-up menu above the multilevel number, and then choose a number or alphabetical order.

The formatting options depend on the keyboard you have enabled.

Provide phonetic guides along the text:

If Chinese, Japanese or Korean keyboards are enabled for Mac or iOS devices, you can apply Pinyin Guide to words written in any language, even if you don't use any of them.

Select the text. Do not include any endings or punctuation marks in the selected text.

Control-click the selected text, and then choose Pinyin Guide Text from the shortcut menu.

The selected text displays the Pinyin Guide.

To change the Pinyin Guide text, choose an option in the Pinyin Guide list, or type your own text in the text field.

Click anywhere outside the Pinyin Guide text window to apply the text you choose, and then close the window.

Change or delete Pinyin Guide text:

You can change the language of Pinyin Guide text or delete the text.

Click a word with Pinyin Guide text, and then choose Pinyin Guide Text from the shortcut menu.

Please do one of the following: Change the guide text: Enter new text, or select one of the options.

The pinyin options displayed depend on the keyboard you have enabled. Remove guide text: Click to remove phonetic guide text.
