In the golden autumn of 2004, I am honored to share with you the joy of the establishment of China Software Industry Association and the 20th anniversary of Software World magazine. Twenty years ago in the autumn, China Software Industry Association was formally established, and the software industry magazine was born. She is the predecessor of Software World magazine. In the past 20 years, the development of the software world has experienced the fastest development stage of the software industry in China. Therefore, we specially produced a special issue of software for 20 years and organized a high-level forum on "* * * Casting the Ecological Chain of China Software Industry".

The establishment of China Software Industry Association indicates that the industrial status of software has been confirmed. Since then, domestic and foreign software enterprises have gradually become active in the China market. Since 1990s, China's software industry has developed rapidly, and the release of relevant laws and policies, especially the State Council 18 and Document No.47, has created unprecedented opportunities for the development of China's software industry.

It must be noted that although China's software industry has experienced at least 20 years of development, the scale of development is still in the primary stage, and the entire industrial ecological chain is not perfect. Therefore, when strengthening the construction of industrial base, we should shift the core from material infrastructure to industrial ecological chain construction in time. After all, the competitiveness of the industry is ultimately reflected in the competitiveness of the industrial ecological chain. How to "build an ecological chain of China software industry" has become a topic of general concern. We hope that this high-level forum can promote the construction of the ecological chain of the software industry.

In the development of software industry, internationalization has become the current focus topic. At the "2004 National Torch Program Software Industry Base and 863 Software Incubator Work Conference" recently concluded in Xi 'an, the ancient city, "Building Digital Silk Road" became the loudest slogan. At the starting point of the Silk Road, the Torch Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology identified five national torch program software industrial bases, bringing the number of national torch program software industrial bases to 29. We sincerely hope that this conference will become the starting point of the "Digital Silk Road", build a "Digital Silk Road" and promote the development of software industry and information construction in China in the next 20 years!

Looking forward to the future, the software world will continue to pay attention to the development of the software industry, promote information construction, and will continue to witness the development of the software industry in China and even the whole world. We believe that when we witness the software industry again in 20 years, we will definitely raise our glasses to the glory of the software industry.
